Liposuction Costs

The cosmetic industry is booming today due to high rise of consumers. Liposuction is one of the most popular procedures in losing weight effortless and fast. Many people are considering taking this type of procedure but they do not understand how much the cost of having one.

Liposuction cost depends on where you want your procedure to be done, the cost range from about $3,000 to $10,000, so as you can see is quite an expensive alternative to the traditional way of losing weight. If you are conveniently rich then this is not much of a problem but for those people who don’t have much to spare are likely considering to loan in order to pay for the costly procedure.

The liposuction cost may differ for each surgeon requirement fee can vary, but it is still pretty much the same. It is always a great idea to survey the price range of each surgeon to determine the standard fee for the certain liposuction procedure you want. But is still going to be expensive wherever you may go unless you are seriously considering going to a unlicensed surgeon, I highly advice that you don’t for the cost to recover if the procedure goes wrong is way more expensive and also may cost your very life. Find a highly qualified licensed surgeon.

The cost depends on what type of surgery you want. Even if you just want to focus on a specific area, let’s say the liposuction cost is around $3,500 but that is only the surgeon fee, there additional fees to cover, the anesthesiologist for the matter need to be paid, and also the mil facility fee. These may add to around roughly $7,000 which is not that bad considering the quantity of body fat that is removed.

Let’s say that you have decided to take the risky and costly procedure and you want to remove a large amount of fat from 5 different areas. The average cost for this type of procedure is roughly around $10,000. And the surgeons will likely talk you into having additional work done and you might consider adding buttock lift here and there or a laser treatment for your leg nerves. The accumulated expenses are around $16,000 give or take. As you can see having a liposuction surgical procedure can be expensive. Before deciding to take this type of procedure first consider the certain risks involve and the liposuction costs.

Costs Of Liposuction

When there comes a time in your life where you just are not really happy with certain areas of your body, you may begin to think about having a little liposuction done. But while most people are innocently enough considering having these procedures done, no one really understands the liposuction costs involved.

Depending on the area that you want worked on, or the many different areas, you are looking at anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000. The fact of the matter is that unless you have been saving your pennies since childhood, you are more in likely going to have to take out some sort of loan in order to go through with this surgery because liposuction costs a lot of money.

While there are different costs that each surgeon requests for their services, a lot of the costs involved are pretty much universal. But, it is always good to go for a few different consultations in order to make sure what you are paying is an industry standard for the type of procedure you are requesting. But be prepared, because no matter where you go, it is still going to be expensive before liposuction costs a lot of money no matter what. So besides money, because it is going to be expensive no matter how you look at it, you are going to want to make sure that the surgeon himself is a good choice.

Rough Figures for Liposuction Costs

It really does depend what you are going in for but let’s say for example that you really only want to focus on one particular area that you want improved. The general liposuction costs for one area is around $3,500 and that just covers your basic surgeon’s fee, the anesthesiologist, and the basic run of the mill facility fee. Of course, the surgeon is going to get the bulk of that money, as they are the one performing the biggest job. Now, the liposuction costs for three areas is around $7,000 which is not bad for the amount of body mass that can be removed from three areas on the body.

Now, let’s pretend that you are really going for it all and you want to suck out as much as you can while you are under the knife and you are going for five areas on the body. The average liposuction costs for five areas are around $10,000, give or take a little. And let’s not forget that the surgeon is going to try to talk you into getting some additional work done since you are already going to be under and all. If you want to add a buttock lift to your already expensive liposuction costs, you are looking at an additional $5,000 and a tummy tuck is an additional $5,000. But for those on a budget, there is always the laser treatment of leg veins and that is only a small fee of roughly $400.

No Need to Ask We Will Tell You Everything You Should Know About Breast Liposuction

Breast liposuction is very effective in both men and women because the breasts contain fat tissue and not muscles, therefore they can be reduced successfully in one session in most cases depending on age and present state of health.

Most breast liposuction interventions do not need hospitalization, as the whole procedure takes approximately couple of hours and is done with local anesthesia. The recovery from such operations takes approximately 3 to 4 months depending on the intervention and the present health condition of the patient. There are however, a variety of after liposuction treatments and procedures that need to be followed precisely in order for the area to heal as desired.

Recovery from Breast Liposuction

The patient will experience lumps and bruises for a period of time depending from person to person but they will all disappear in a few months if you follow the exact direction of the doctor. Another important point will be the diet, which yet again needs to be followed precisely or else it can cause complications and further interventions may be necessary.

Breast liposuction is a essential surgery for those who suffer from the size of their breasts but also a stressful experience for at least a couple of months until it starts healing; all the support from family and friends will be needed at this time as it may get difficult at times getting through this experience on your own.

What Are the Chances of Breast Liposuction to Be a Success?

Breast liposuction is performed on a daily basis and if you follow the direction as given by the doctor, you have 100% changes to have a successful liposuction and the size of breast desired. Large breasts are at times a big burden in both men and women because they are uncomfortable and many times damaging to one’s appearance especially in men.

Choosing the Best Type of Anesthesia for your Liposuction Procedure

While most people find it easy to ward off unwanted fat with diet and exercise, there are still some people who, try as they might, cannot get rid of those extra inches of fat weighing on them. As our society continues to try and improve on the human physique, the search for a lean and fit looking body is something that many people continue to chase after. For those people, liposuction procedures help them to rid of the extra fat that does not leave with normal diet and exercise.

Once you have made the decision to have a liposuction procedure with your plastic surgeon and mapped out the areas of fat which need removing, you must then choose the best type of anesthesia for your liposuction procedure. Your decision of which type of anesthesia to use is just as important as discussing the procedure itself, the recovery and risks, it may even be more important than your liposuction cost. There are four types of anesthesia generally used in a liposuction surgery, general, local, conscious sedation and regional anesthesia. Each one performs a different function that you may find better suits your needs.

Receiving Local Anesthesia

If you are faint of heart, the option for local anesthesia may not be for you. When you receive a local anesthetic, only the parts of your body receiving the liposuction are numbed. Most often, this is done through an injection at the site where lipo will happen. However, as medical technology and discovery advances, there are now topical creams, which are applied like lotions that are just as effective as an injection. During a liposuction surgery with local anesthetic you are awake and conscious. Some people prefer this option as there is no sedation to wake up from and they are aware of what is happening around them. The pain will be completely blocked from the parts of your body receiving liposuction. However, most plastic surgeons will agree that local anesthesia is best used for people who are removing only small areas of fat.

Conscious Sedation

This method of anesthesia is also called intravenous sedation or twilight sleep. The reason for this is because unlike other methods, you are given an injection through an IV line, which will relax you and make you feel sleepy. Many people report falling asleep with this method and feeling nothing during the liposuction surgery. In addition to the sedative you receive, you will also probably receive a pain medication to relive discomfort. An added bonus to this type of conscious sedation is that the medications involved also cause forgetfulness, so even if you reside between asleep and awake, you won’t remember the bulk of the surgery. However, you will be able to wake and answer questions or maintain reflexes such as swallowing and coughing. Conscious sedation also may involve a regional block anesthesia as well. Those who receive conscious sedation as a method of anesthesia during a liposuction procedure also report waking easier than with a general anesthesia.

Regional Anesthesia

Regional anesthesia can be administered through an epidural block or spinal. Similar to a local regional anesthesia prevents a region of your body from feeling any pain. The region can be the arm, leg, or the complete lower part of the body. Much like a local, you maintain consciousness. Regional anesthesia is administered through an IV needle, which will be inserted in a small pocket close to the spinal column, thus removing feeling and the ability to move the region An added benefit is that you may experience less pain afterward. It is best used when there is a large amount of fat to remove, for example, having liposuction done to both legs.

Choosing General Anesthesia

Generally speaking, this type of anesthesia is best for situations where a Regional block is not an option or for extensive liposuction surgeries. It also can raise the fees associated with liposuction costs since it is more invasive. For instance, general anesthesia is administered through a mask (inhalants) or IV. You should also take into consideration that general anesthesia affects all parts of the body. You will also lose consciousness and all ability to cough or swallow which means a tube will be inserted down your throat as well. Additionally there are more side effects with this type of anesthesia as well.

Regardless of which anesthesia is best for your liposuction procedure, you should discuss all options with your plastic surgeon. Some surgeons don’t always offer all types of anesthesia options, and some types are more expensive then others, so it is important to keep in mind how this will affect the overall liposuction cost . You should also be aware of the types of medications used in the anesthesia as well, especially if you have allergies to certain foods. Some anesthetics have byproducts of certain foods within them and you should be aware if there are any foods you are allergic or sensitive to. Deciding on having liposuction surgery is only part of the procedure. Choosing the best type of anesthesia for your procedure is an extremely important factor in having liposuction surgery as well.

What Is Liposuction?

A cosmetic surgery done to remove fat from different parts of the body is known as liposuction. The other names for liposuction are lipoplasty and suction lipectomy.

Cannula and aspirator are the instruments used to remove the fat. Liposuction is usually done on the abdomen, thighs, breasts or buttocks.

We all know that exercise can help in reducing weight. But in certain cases even regular exercise and workouts may not be effective to shed those last extra pounds. Therefore, in these situations, using liposuction techniques is an ideal option.

However you must note the fact that liposuction is not a weight loss technique, it is a process of body contouring. The standard amount of fat removed is approximately 5 kgs or 10 pounds, although the amount being removed depends on the doctor, the patient and the technique being used.

Not everyone has a clear idea on how much a liposuction would cost. If you are planning to have liposuction performed, then it is suggested that you know the price of the surgery before you end up being surprised! There are certain factors on which the liposuction cost is dependent.

They are as follows:

The number of areas from where the fat is to be removed
1. Your body type
2. The amount of fat to be removed
Apart from the above, liposuction cost also depends on the doctors who perform the surgery. The average cost of the procedure for a single part of body can vary from 0 to 00.

You might be offered discount on the rates if you want to treat multiple areas of the body. The price of the surgery may however include some additional procedures that usually follow the liposuction.

Different plastic surgeons consider different aspects in structuring their fees. Some surgeon fees depend on the time consumed while others may take into account the number of procedures done at the time of the surgery. Then there are some surgeons who structure their fees on the amount of fat being removed.

Owing to the different ways of determining the liposuction costs, the patient must have a comprehensive discussion on the price prior to the surgery. The patients should make sure that they are comfortable with the conditions on which the price was quoted.

Let us sum up the different factors on which the total liposuction cost may be dependent. Geography, surgeon fees, hospital fees, anesthesia costs, garments, medications, etc. are the different factors. So, while discussing the cost before hand, if you feel the price quoted to you is low, do not hesitate to ask what is included in the fees and what will be additional costs.

If you feel it is time for you to contour and remodel your body, then go for liposuction and of course verify the prices in advance. However, in spite of the tempting aspect of a newly shaped body, you must know that the recovery process may be somewhat uncomfortable.

It usually takes a few weeks to get back into action. There are certain medications that might help in assuaging the pain. So just take your time to get back to your old, normal routine.

Although, liposuction can bring about a change in your life for the better, make sure you pay the right cost and the money spent will be worth it!

Liposuction Surgery Costs – Worth The Fee?

Liposuction surgery costs have remained steady at about ,700 in the last couple of years. Is this popular procedure worth the money? It may seem like “everyone is having it done” but not everyone has this type of money to put on the table. If you are considering liposuction make sure to include a thorough analysis of what the procedure will cost and how you are going to pay for it.

Cost estimates are based on 2005 and 2004 data supplied by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). This information is for the average liposuction price as surveyed by this organization. Something to note, is that information was broken out for the first time for the ultrasound assisted liposuction versus the suction assisted. The difference is almost 0, making the ultrasound assisted procedure more expensive.

Questions to Ask Before You Choose a Surgeon:

1) What exactly am I having done?

Liposuction surgery costs highly depend on the specifics of what is being done. These specifics include:

*the number of areas treated
*the amount of fat to be removed from the areas
*the part of the body that is being treated
*the amount of fat that is to be removed during the surgery
*sex of the individual male versus female
*procedure duration(can be driven by all the above factors)

2) Does your surgeon have a liposuction price list (as seen above with ultrasound assisted liposuction procedures, costs can vary)?

”How much does liposuction cost?” is one of the most frequently asked questions during the exploration process for most prospective patients, if your surgeon doesn’t have this information readily available you should be a little wary.

3) Are the prices reasonable or do they seem way off of the averages provided by organizations like the ASAPS?

Keep in mind that liposuction surgery costs also can depend on the individual doctor that you are being treated by. This is why it is important to research many doctors before deciding on one. You should not limit yourself geographically if the price savings is worth it and the surgeon has a good reputation. The ASAPS notes that their average liposuction price is a national average, so geographical differences will occur. The liposuction fee can also vary by facility. Where the procedure is performed can be important, procedures can take place in a hospital, freestanding surgicenters and office-based. Bottom line, your choice of individual doctor plays a large role in determining liposuction surgery costs.

4) What is included in the price?

The liposuction fee may not not include other surgical costs such as anesthesia and follow up costs like prescription drugs. Other patient charges that the doctor may include are for the compression garment that is worn after the surgery, antibiotics that might be prescribed, and for blood tests that need to be done.

In conclusion you can see that how much your liposuction surgery costs depend on how much research your do before picking your surgeon. Some doctors may give you a discount if the liposuction is being performed on more than one body part. Liposuction surgery costs are not covered by health insurance because it is considered a cosmetic surgery. Due to the high demand for cosmetic procedures though, there are many ways that you can pay for liposuction surgery costs. You should ask your doctor if he has a payment plan. You should also look into financing your liposuction surgery costs. There are many resources to help with your decision, make sure you consider them before just plopping the cost onto your credit card where the interest rates might not be as competitive.

Liposuction Results Can Be Worth Cost

If you want to use liposuction to get rid of those ugly pockets of fat that cling to your body no matter what you do, don’t let the cost scare you away. If liposuction is what you want, it can be worth paying for. Most removal procedures are affordable and easy to get. You don’t have to break the bank to make improvements.

So, how much does it cost? Like any plastic surgery operation, there is no standard price. The only way to get a reliable idea is to talk to your plastic surgeon. However, there are several factors that can influence the cost, and knowing these before you go in for you consultation can help prepare you for what to expect.

How Much Is Going to Be Removed and from Where?

This is one of the big factors determining cost. Of course, the more fat you want removed, the more you can expect to pay.

Liposuction doesn’t get rid of general obesity, but removes pockets of fat distributed throughout the body. The number of pockets that need to be removed will influence price. For example, some removals treat one or two areas of the body, while some target many different areas. Procedures that cover larger areas will be more expensive.

The part of the body also makes a difference. Some parts of the body are tougher for plastic surgeons to get to, and these will be more expensive. This includes areas that don’t have much fat content, like the face, chin, ankles or neck. On the other hand, the most common areas will be cheaper. These are areas like the buttocks, belly, breasts and legs, where there fatty tissue readily collects, making it easier for your plastic surgeon to perform the procedure.

Type of Operation

There are many different types of this procedure. For example, tumescent liposuction involves injecting liquid into the area of fat in order to make it easier to move it. Another, newer method called ultrasound involves using sound waves to liquefy the unwanted tissue and get it out more easily. Newer and more advanced techniques generally cost more than the traditional techniques.

You will also be paying more for an operation that requires multiple visits. Most liposuctions can be done easily in one day, but there are cases where the treatment occurs over a few weeks. With multiple doctor visits, you can expect to pay each time, but for the second, third and subsequent treatments, your doctor’s bill will be much less than the initial one.

You can also figure on paying anesthesia costs. Most liposuctions are done with little anesthesia, so it’s not a terribly large part of the expense. But, if it is a larger operation, you may end up paying more for this service, as well as for medications and other associated fees.

Don’t Forget To Shop Around

Prices vary from plastic surgeon to plastic surgeon, as well as from state to state. You may sometimes see a huge difference between one plastic surgeon’s fees and another’s, even in the same city. In this case, you should check to make sure that the cheaper surgeon is board certified. It’s nice to save some extra money, but it’s not worth trusting your body to an uncertified plastic surgeon.

It’s impossible to give a quote without a consultation, but the average one-day liposuction costs around ,000 for women and ,000 for men. Men can expect to pay more because men’s bodies have tougher fibrous fats that are harder to remove.

,000 is the average, but it can vary anywhere from ,000-,000 for a one-day operation, and can be well over ,000 for surgery that involves repeat visits to the doctor. This is why it is important to get a consultation for a plastic surgeon first.

Liposuction can be a manageable expense. If you feel you need the removal procedure, shop around for the best price. For most, it’s well worth the money to see that fat disappear!

Sometimes it’s difficult to get rid of those stubborn fatty deposits. Liposuction may be an affordable option you wish to consider. If you live in or near Baltimore, liposuction surgeons may provide you with reasonably priced options.

Liposuction Price – Advantages and Disadvantages

Liposuction is the removal of body fat from deposits beneath the skin using a hollow stainless steel tube referred to as a cannula and a powerful vacuum. A process preferred by both adult males and women, it is not a method of weight reduction. More accurately, its a technique to take away persistent fatty deposits that linger regardless of going through other methods like dieting, exercise or massage. In particular individuals, still at a young age, there are persistent fatty tissue deposits, commonly surrounding the thighs, which seem to be genetic. While some people might be quick to judge both the idea and procedure of liposuction, it’s important to appreciate that it is a important segment of the medical realm and when completed correct, can help people get a handle on their self-worth, without other invasive choices that might harm them down the road.

Liposuction costs could change significantly based on what particular procedure is undertaken, the professional fees of the doctor and where the surgery is performed. Because of these concerns, it is often complicated to come up with precise liposuction costs. Also, conventional surgeries might cost a lot more than the current techniques that are less aggressive and needs less anesthesia and healing.
As with most cosmetic surgery, a liposuction procedure price usually comprises of three fees: doctor expenses, anesthesia fees and facility fees. Liposuction can be carried out on many different regions of the body, by different kinds of machines, with different kinds of anesthesia. So how much does liposuction cost? It depends on the area(s) and the amount being done. But usually it will cost between ,500 to ,000 for basic guidance.

An former approach, often called Dry Method Lipo is no more believed to be safe. Today, the world wide standard of care is the Tumescent and Laser. With all techniques there are risks, and with all techniques there is a price tag. New advanced options can have a lesser amount of recovery period and will be much more successful, however might also be priced higher than other methods. Only a medical doctor be capable of entirely give details to you the risk factors in regards to all different alternative. Some of the choices are better for unique body kinds, so make sure you weigh your options carefully.

Liposuction based on an ultrasonic-assisted technique, will allow for a carefully controlled and gentle surgical procedure to break up areas of fatty tissue deposits and can be undertaken just as safely on all sides of the face, neck, body and limbs. The advantages of the procedure also means reduced bruising and swelling postoperatively, faster recuperation and a smoother surface even after more intense shaping. Because of its ability to lessen irregularities, the procedure has been reliably used in abdominal etching and has also given rise to the concept of high-definition liposuction.

Vaser liposuction is non-invasive and makes use of a local anesthesia that numbs the complete region while ultrasound is undertaken to breakdown and flush out body fat with very little consequence on adjoining tissues. This method is recognized to have very a small number of uncomfortable side effects and good results and much more affordable. The disadvantages of this procedure is that repeating it is very expensive and just a partial quantity of fats are taken away through each treatment. Occasionally, the results tend not to become visible until months after the treatment is finished. You can find that the general price is higher because the ultrasound assistances, and ought to expect to pay upwards of ,000 and more for vaser process.

Smart liposuction uses a smart laser technology and is getting increasingly popular nowadays. It has fast results and the laser melts away the fats to let the body to flush them out. The cons of this type of lipo are it causes internal burns as a result it can not be used for sizable regions. The cost tag related with laser liposuction traditionally begins at approximately $us2,000. The cost typically reflects charges associated with tests, prescriptions, and the procedure. Obviously, the fee varies from physician to physician, and it should be weighed out greatly.

Tumescent liposuction uses a tumescent liquid made up of nutrients, proteins, medicines, chemical compounds and other medical elements injected into the fat deposition previous to therapy. The liquid melts away excess fat in the areas and shape the body part to what the patient wishes. This kind of procedure makes the patient conscious right through the complete procedure and can move as required, a smaller amount blood loss, minimum bruising that lasts from a few days to 2 weeks and enables the patient to return to work after 2 days of the treatment. The shortcoming of this type of liposuction is that is requires more time to remove a given fat size as opposed to a conventional general anesthesia technique. Generally costs occupied with tumescent techniques are around ,500 and upwards. It’s tricky to establish what your local doctor may charge you, but the normal cost of 1 area can be thousands.

When figuring out on going through with this sort of procedure, consult a physician, and make sure you’re in good overall physical condition. Always look for some other options to surgery like Smart Liposuction.

Always Consider The Liposuction Price

So many ladies and even men are obsessed with the idea of having an ideal body that they are going to go to nearly any length to achieve what they contemplate an ideal body. The reality is though that although the liposuction cost has gone down a great deal since the procedures first appeared, it is still an amazing amount of cash to spend on something that a lot of people would see as unneccessary. The liposuction price is still going to be adequate to where you’ll be forced to finance the procedure if you haven’t already been saving the cash for it.

If you end up financing the process, the total liposuction cost will actually increase thanks to the financing fees that you will be paying in the long game. When it comes to the liposuction price, you have got to know the precise amount you’ll be asked to pay will depend on what part of the body you are getting done and what quantity of fat needs taken out.

Because of the liposuction cost concerned, some have no alternative but to try and about it the old fashion way. Of course, there are those people who have tried a large amount of dieting and exercising and still are having difficulty getting fat removed from certain parts of their body. Due to this disappointment, these people may care less what the liposuction price is as they are willing to pay anything to have their problem fixed.

If you do not have a certain doctor in mind, see if you can find referrals from family or pals that may have gone through the surgery before. Not all doctors are true so this is why you need to concentrate more on how good of a doctor he is rather than is rather than the liposuction cost.

Once a person decides that he desires to consult a doctor with regard to a liposuction process, they generally talk more on the liposuction price is rather than how qualified the doctor really is for this type of surgery. Firstly, you wish to ensure that you’re going to a doctor that is really anxious about your overall health then just taking your money.

The liposuction price is going to rely on how much you need done but before you go arranging any surgery, you want to think on it. There might be a very good chance that with a change in your diet and a little more exercise thrown into your daily running order that you can conquer the fat issue rather than getting surgery.

Once you know how much precisely the liposuction cost is going to be for the type of process you need done, it is time to start making plans to get the funds. If you are ready to wait a little you can save the cash up yourself so that the liposuction price is completely covered by your account. If that is not a choice for you or you are not willing to wait then there’s always the option of a loan.

In the end, it is all about what you can afford and what you are willing to spend when it comes to the total liposuction cost. When you have ultimately made your call and you are done with the surgery, you will be glad that you did not let the price tag stop you from your dreams.

What Are The Average Costs Of Liposuction

So many ladies and even men are obsessed with the idea of having an ideal shape that they are going to go to just about any length to gain what they believe an ideal body. The reality is though that though the liposuction cost has gone down a great deal since the procedures first appeared, it remains an awesome amount of cash to spend on something that plenty of people would see as unneccessary. The liposuction cost is still going to be adequate to where you’ll be made to finance the undertaking if you have not already been saving the cash for it.

If you end up financing the procedure, the total liposuction cost will really increase because of the finance fees that you are going to be paying in the long game. In the end, the liposuction cost might be anywhere from a 2000 bucks to 20 thousand bucks. Some of us have even spent more then that in order to gain what they suspect is an attractive body.

If you are not in need of an amazing quantity of liposuction, you may need to consider just dieting and exercising to take away your problem areas. Thanks to the liposuction cost involved, some have no choice but to try and about it the normal way. Of course, there are those people that have tried a large amount of dieting and exercising and still are having difficulty getting fat removed from certain areas of their body.

If you do not have a certain doctor in mind, see if you can find referrals from family or pals that could have gone thru the surgery before. The worst thing you would ever need to do is just pick any surgeon out of the yellow pages whatever how inexpensive their liposuction cost is.

Once somebody decides that he needs to consult a doctor with regard to a liposuction procedure, they sometimes talk more on the liposuction price is instead of how expert the doctor actually is for this kind of surgery. First of all, you want to ensure that you’re going to a doctor that is really worried about your overall health then just taking your money.

The liposuction price is going to rely on how much you want done but before you go organizing any surgery, you need to think it carefully. There could be a good chance that with a change in your diet and a little more exercise thrown into your daily routine that you can conquer the fat issue instead of getting surgery. If that has never actually worked for your own problem then go on and continue with the surgery and pay out the liposuction price, which is going to be costly regardless of what way you look at it.

If that is not a choice for you or you are unhappy to wait then there is always the option of a loan. The grand total liposuction price is going to be a ton more pricey though because of all the further costs and charges that come with having a loan.

In the end, it’s all about what you can afford and what you are willing to spend when it comes to the total liposuction price. Once you have ultimately made your call and you are done with the surgery, you will be glad that you did not let the price tag stop you from your dreams.

How much is liposuction? – The Cost of Liposuction

Are you looking to get liposuction done? Are you confused about the expenses that you might incur while getting it done? Are you always asking “How much is liposuction going to cost me?” Well, if the answer to these questions is yes, you are in for some respite. In this write up, we have tried to sum up the average costs of liposuction. Please be informed that liposuction costs may vary from state to state and the prices given here are just indicative of the average of how much liposuction is actually going to cost you.

In order to understand how much liposuction will cost; we need to understand the concept of liposuction first. Liposuction basically refers to the process of forcibly removing excess fat from problem areas. Scientific progress in this area has not only led to the decrease in plastic surgery costs, but has also opened a number of options for those looking to enhance their looks. Generally, liposuction’s cost would directly depend on the areas you intend to work on.

For instance, if you are looking to act on a small area, the cost would be low. If you are looking to get breast reduction via liposuction, it would generally cost you anywhere in the ballpark of 00-00, depending upon a number of variable factors. Similarly, if you intend to get two or three body parts reduced using liposuction, the costs would proportionately go up. Generally, the cosmetic surgery cost of a full body liposuction should cost you about ,000. So, the ultimate answer to the question “How much is liposuction going to cost me?” depends upon the extent to which you want to use this method to enhance your looks.

Some of the most popular areas which people want to reduce are thighs, neck, arms, buttocks and breasts. In general, if you are looking to get liposuction done on thighs, the costs would be considerably higher as compared to an area like neck. The cosmetic surgery costs are directly proportional to the surface area that you intend to work on. If you ask “how much is liposuction going to cost me if I plan to get my thighs toned?” I would probably say “00″. The answer to the same question would be 00 if you changed the area to say your neck.

Liposuction Top 100 FAQ’s is provided to you Angelina Cooper an independent Cosmetic Surgery Consultant being sponsored by Cosmetic Harmony (CosmeticHarmony.com) – a medical tourism company that offers cosmetic surgery packages in Bogotá, Colombia for clients abroad. Cosmetic Harmony is pleased to provide you with an abundant amount of insight and information on Liposuction – including tips, suggestions, prices and recovery.

LIPOSUCTION SURGERY: PRIMARY QUESTIONS

1) What Is Liposuction?

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery operation that helps sculpt the body by removing fat deposits from specific areas like the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, under chin, cheeks and neck. The fat is usually removed through a cannula (a hollow tube) and aspirator (a suction device). Liposuction is not a substitute for dieting and exercise, but it can remove stubborn areas of fat that do not respond to traditional weight loss methods.

2) On what areas of the body can Liposuction be done?

Common locations for Liposuction include: the under chin, cheeks, neck, upper arms, abdomen, lower back, buttocks, hips, thighs, knees, calves and ankles.

3) How much weight can you lose with Liposuction/Liposculpture?

The scope of Liposuction (Lipoplasty) is not the loss of weight, but the remodeling of the body. In the US, it is generally carried out on two well-defined areas and not on the entire body. In Countries like Colombia where plastic surgeons are not so restricted by insurance companies, Liposuction of the entire body is a common practice.

4) What is the difference between Liposuction, Liposculpture and Lipoaspiration?

Liposuction and Liposculpture are quasi synonyms, although they do have some differences as shown below.

Liposuction: is the removal of medium to large amounts of contour fat to reduce the peaks and mounds that portray a heavy and sloppy appearance. These include areas such as below the chin, upper arms, outer breasts, lower abdomen, flanks, hips, and thighs. Liposculpture: is the removal of small to medium amounts of fat in rather normal to full areas to sharpen features, accentuate the muscles beneath and create a more cut appearance in the neck, lower cheeks, upper abdomen, outer buttocks, calves, and ankles. Some plastic surgeons refer to Liposculpture when the fat removed its use to refill sunken areas (Lipofilling or Lipostructure), to obtain a global remodeling of the areas to be treated.

5) What areas of the face and body are treatable with Liposuction?

Liposuction works best for areas of the face and body with stubborn fat deposits resistant to overall weight loss, such as the infamous “love handles.” The thighs, abdomen, buttocks, flanks, hips, upper arms, chin, jowels, and neck generally respond well. Liposuction can be performed consecutively on many different sites; in fact, many patients choose to have several body parts treated during the same day. Men and women may also choose Liposuction to reduce breast size (Gynocomastia), a procedure that results in less scarring than other types of plastic surgery.

6) Who are good candidates for Liposuction surgery?

These procedures are for anyone who cannot obtain the trim and properly contoured look with diet and exercise, possess good skin elasticity and are not looking to lose large volumes of weight. Patients who exceed their body weight by 30%-50% may only be candidates for limited fat removal because of safety concerns and should undergo these procedures in two or more stages. Patients who exceed their ideal weight well over 50% should seek other remedies for weight loss as an initial step and consult a physician experienced in weight management.

7) Is Liposculpture right for me?

If you’re thinking about Liposuction it is essential that you have realistic expectations about what the procedure can do for you. It’s important to understand that, while Liposuction can enhance your appearance and self-confidence, it won’t necessarily change your looks to match your ideal or those of others. So before you decide to have surgery, please think carefully about your expectations and do not hesitate to contact your plastic surgeon or Cosmetic Harmony for more information and a free consultation.

The best candidates for Liposuction are normal-weight people with firm, elastic skin who have pockets of excess fat in certain areas. You should be physically healthy. Your age is not a major consideration; however, older patients may have diminished skin elasticity and may not achieve the same results as a younger patient with tighter skin.

Liposuction carries greater risk for individuals with medical problems such as diabetes, significant heart or lung disease, poor blood circulation, or those who have recently had surgery near the area to be contoured.

8) What do I need to know before undergoing Liposuction?

During an initial consultation your plastic surgeon will evaluated your health, assess the condition of your skin, and discuss the options that are best for you. Issues to be discussed in detail will include body contouring methods that are appropriate for your particular situation, the effectiveness and safety of the procedure, and your expectations. Once you have decided to undergo Liposuction, your plastic surgeon will give you the necessary information that you will need to prepare for the surgery.

9) I know there are different lipo procedures… But briefly, how is Liposuction performed?

In general, Liposuction procedures use small incisions in selected areas and with a high vacuum suction device attached to a small, stainless steel instrument called a cannula, remove fat cells. After the fat is removed, sutures (stitches) will be used to close the small incisions, followed by the application of a dressing and compression garment (girdle) to minimize the post-operative swelling.

10) What type of anesthesia is required when having Liposuction?

Various types of anesthesia can be used for Liposuction procedures. If a small of amount of fat is being removed from one or two areas, local anesthesia with a light sedative to make you feel drowsy and relaxed may be considered. When treating larger areas (3 or more), general anesthesia is typically used allowing you to be asleep during the procedure. Together, you and the surgeon will select the type of anesthesia that provides the safest and most effective level of comfort for your surgery. As a consideration, general anesthesia could be the better option as some patients feel a level of discomfort under local anesthesia.

11) What are the main risks and complications for Liposuction surgery?

Every surgical procedure has risks and Liposuction is no different, but the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons has recognized Liposuction as a safe and effective method of removing localized fat areas. The most common risks of Liposuction include infection, allergic reactions to anesthesia or to medications, friction burns, organ damage, fluid accumulation, blood clots, excessive fluid loss, and long healing time. The amount of fat being removed can increase the risks associated with Liposuction because more fat will require a prolonged surgery.

To minimize potential Liposuction side effects, risks, complications, or other problems, make sure you fully understand the procedures you wish to have done, and discuss your expectations and concerns with your physician. Minor Liposuction complications, problems, and general dissatisfaction can be minimized by fully understanding the risks and benefits associated with Liposuction and having realistic expectations. It is extremely important to choose a cosmetic surgeon who will clearly and thoroughly explain potential Liposuction side effects and risks. He or she should also have proper and extensive training, along with state-of-the-art facilities and a good standing in the field. Severe complications can be minimized by disclosing your entire medical history to your doctor and discussing all prescription and over-the-counter medications you take on a regular basis. Patients should be good candidates for Liposuction and fully understand what is involved in this procedure.

To maximize the success of Liposuction surgery and minimize the risk of complications, always follow your cosmetic surgeon’s instructions for surgical preparation and postoperative care. If you smoke, your cosmetic surgeon will advise you to stop two weeks prior to and following Liposuction surgery. You may also choose another avenue for fat removal. There are non-surgical Liposuction alternatives available to patients who are not good candidates for Liposuction or simply prefer other methods.

Possible Liposuction Problems

With any type of cosmetic surgery, including Liposuction, complications may arise, but they are rare. Some dangers of Liposuction include infection, a reaction to the anesthesia, blood clotting, and fluid loss. Less severe Liposuction risks include bruises and scars, a numbing of the skin, and moderate problems such as changes in skin pigmentation. Liposuction complications may include:

Infection Extended healing time Allergic reaction to medication or anesthesia Fat or blood clots – clots can migrate to the lungs and lead to death Excessive fluid loss – fluid loss can lead to shock and, in some cases, death Fluid accumulation – fluid must be drained Friction burns Damage to the skin or nerves Damage to vital organs

Dangers of Excessive Liposuction

The most common dangers of Liposuction include risks associated with removing too much fat from targeted areas at once, as well as having too much Liposuction performed in a single day. Excessive Liposuction can cause problems including dents, lumps, and sagging skin. In order to minimize surgical complications and the side effects of overexposure to anesthesia, patients should schedule multiple Liposuction procedures at least several days apart.

Minor Complications

Non-life-threatening Liposuction complications include bruising, scars, a lumpy appearance, sagging or discolored skin, focal skin necrosis, fainting after surgery, numbness, and non-lethal drug interactions. All Liposuction problems should be discussed with your doctor, as some may become serious if left untreated.

Severe Liposuction Complications

Severe complications associated with Liposuction are rare, but should be taken into consideration when deciding whether Liposuction is right for you. Severe complications include adverse reactions to anesthesia, cardiac arrest, cardiac arrhythmia, internal blood clots, excessive bleeding, severe drug interactions, and allergic reactions to medication, permanent nerve damage, seizures, and brain damage from anesthesia.

12) What can I expect after my Liposuction procedure?

In short, it’s normal to feel discomfort and to not look your best following surgery. Even though the newer techniques are believed to reduce post-operative discomforts, you may still experience some pain, burning, swelling, bleeding and temporary numbness that could last as long as one year. You will be wearing a snug elastic garment over the treated areas to control swelling and bruising immediately following your surgery. You may also experience some drainage from the incisions sites for two-to-five days following surgery. Pain can be controlled with medicates prescribed by your plastic surgeon, though you still may feel stiff and sore for several days.

13) Will I Have Scars From Liposuction?

Scars are a normal occurrence when incisions are made. Liposuction is no different since it involves incisions; however, the surgeon will carefully treat and place the small incisions in areas that are better concealed or in creases. Over time the scars from Liposuction will begin to fade until they are hardly noticeable. There will always be a hint of a scar remaining after Liposuction.

14) What is the average cost of Liposuction?

Liposuction is considered a cosmetic surgical procedure and will not be covered by insurance. Typically, Liposuction will cost an individual between USD ,000 for 2 small areas and as much as USD ,000 for 5 areas, but your Liposuction surgeon will have a more specific idea of the Liposuction cost after a consultation. On average, Liposuction in the U.S. costs ,000 per body area treated. Many patients are choosing to have cosmetic surgery procedures abroad to take advantage of the significantly reduced costs for Liposuction – while keeping the high standard quality and safety. To contact Cosmetic Harmony about Liposuction, please visit our website at www.cosmeticharmony.com.

15) Will the fat return after a Liposuction?

If the Liposuction patient gains weight the entire body will distribute the fat because the treated area no longer has the same capacity to store additional fat. This is caused because a large portion of fat cells were removed from the treated area.

16) How can I find a board certified plastic surgeon that has experience in Liposuction procedures?

We can help you find a qualified cosmetic surgeon in your area. Please visit our website at www.cosmeticharmony.com or contact us via contact@cosmeticharmony.com.

17) Will the doctor show me Liposuction before and after photos?

Yes. Most doctors will provide you with Liposuction / lipoplasty before and after pictures. You may also see before and after photos on Cosmetic Harmony’s online photo gallery at www.cosmeticharmony.com. There you will find many patients’ pictures and testimonials.

18) How will I be evaluated for Liposuction?

At a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon, a patient will be evaluated if they are a likely candidate for Liposuction and whether it will benefit them. The surgeon will want to discuss the patient’s medical history, their physical health and well-being, and the goals the wish to attain through Liposuction. The more honest the Liposuction candidate is with the surgeon, the more likely the individual will be happy with their results because the surgeon can inform the candidate if the desired Liposuction results are attainable.

19) What are some of the most common benefits of Liposuction?

Liposuction is the most commonly performed plastic surgery in the United States. This technique is used to reshape the body by permanently removing localized fat deposits. A newly trim body can provide a psychological lift and an extra incentive to exercise regularly to maintain fitness. Many patients even find physical activity more pleasurable after shedding extra fat, and they also find that clothes tend to fit them better.

20) Does the removal of fat tighten the skin as well?

Not exactly. In fact, some fat deposits may be unforgiving to major fat removal and lead to more relaxation of the skin. Many new methods are being investigated in order to test their effect on skin contraction and tightening. Ultrasonic Liposuction has been suggested as a stimulus to skin contraction. Some cosmetic surgeons are recommending the application of laser energy to the Liposuction site. Unfortunately, it is the heat generated by these modalities that is believed to be the stimulus for the contraction process. If the heat of Ultrasonic and laser energy combined with the rigors of the suction pressure is applied too aggressively near the skin, it can lead to serious skin injury. On the other hand, the use of the microcannulaes at less than 3.0 mm in diameter, if applied near the skin in selected areas, can help achieve contraction as the fat is removed with little risk.

Angelina Cooper is pleased to provide you with an abundant amount of insight and information on LIPOSUCTION cosmetic surgery – including tips, suggestions, prices and recovery. With the following 100 Q&A’s, you will gain an indepth knowledge and thorough grasp of LIPOSUCTION in order to decide whether a LIPO is right for you.

81)How Long does the Tumescent Liposuction surgery take?

The length of Tumescent Liposuction surgery depends on what needs to be done and where. Some patients ask for only one small area to be sculpted, while others have many regions treated. It can take from 45 minutes for a small case to six or more hours for more extensive surgery.

82) What garment do I wear after Tumescent Liposuction?

Stabilizing your tissues in a special garment increases your comfort and ability to do things. Your tissues will be more comfortable after Tumescent Liposuction when they are not jiggling around. Compression also helps control swelling and bruising. Our patients wear this for about six weeks full time and then part time for 2 more weeks. Different styles are available for the various zones treated by the Tumescent Liposuction. We help fit our patients in an elastic garment specially designed for this surgery. A girdle like pants is used for the buttocks and thighs. An elastic vest is used for the male chest. Hooks and zippers on side openings assist in getting the garments on and taking them off.

83) Can I gain weight after Tumescent Liposuction surgery?

Tumescent Liposuction removes fat cells from localized parts of the body. Some cells are left behind intentionally. If too much fat is removed, the skin will stick unnaturally to the underlying muscle and tissues. The remaining fat cells can still store unused energy. For those who eat more than they use with exercise, the extra energy will be put away as fat. The distribution of where you put on the fat may be different after Tumescent Liposuction surgery.

84) Will Tumescent Liposuction get me rid of cellulite?

Cellulite is a condition that gives the skin a rippled, dimpled appearance. Tumescent Liposuction is not an effective treatment for cellulite.

85) Can I have Tumescent Liposuction done in combination with other procedures?

Yes. Tumescent Liposuction can be performed on several areas of the body at the same time. The Suction Lipectomy can be combined with other aesthetic operations. It can be integrated into a Facelift, Neck Lift, Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), Mini-Tummy Tuck, Brazilian Butt Augmentation-Lift and other body contouring operations.

86) What is the cost for Tumescent Lipo? Anesthesia cost? Fee cost?

The price for Liposuction varies, depending on how many areas are treated. There are fees for the surgeon, for use of a facility and for anesthesia if it is required. The surgeon’s fee for Liposuction of the abdomen and love handles would typically cost approximately ,200-,000 USD. Anesthesia and facility fees can vary greatly; the ballpark range is around 0-,000 for the facility fee and 0-0 USD for anesthesia. But again, if your skin is stretched out with bad stretch marks, it may be better off with an abdominoplasy (Tummy Tuck). It’s recommended to make an appointment for a consultation with a plastic surgeon to get a better idea of desired goals and needs.

87) What are the benefits of Tumescent Liposuction?

Tumescent Liposuction can significantly reduce some of the unpleasant side effects of other techniques. Because the anesthetic solution temporarily reduces the size of the capillaries, it can significantly reduce blood loss during surgery and the pain, bruising, and swelling that occur post-surgery. And because Tumescent Liposuction provides local anesthesia, patients can avoid the side effects of general anesthesia, such as vomiting and nausea.

88) Can I undergo Tumescent Liposuction for weight loss purposes?

Tumescent Liposuction is not a good way to lose weight. Actually, very little weight is removed by this operation. Suction lipectomy is a technique to sculpt localized collections of fat. It is a tool of refinement. You are better off getting closer to your ideal weight first and then using plastic surgery to refine the resistant localized problem areas. Some doctors are trying to expand the boundaries of safe Tumescent Liposuction by removing massive amounts of fat from very obese people. This large volume Liposuction has very significant risks and can be dangerous despite some excellent results.

89) Will Tumescent Liposuction helps me with loose skin?

Tumescent Liposuction does not help loose skin. Suction lipectomy removes extra fat only. When skin has good elasticity, it shrinks nicely after fat sculpture. Excess fat and skin are better managed by operations such as tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), thigh lift, arm lift, and face lift or neck lift. It can be confusing for a patient to figure what type of plastic surgery is best for their problem on their own. At cosmetic Harmony we help our patients explore the array of plastic and cosmetic surgery options best suited for the patient’s desired results.

90) What areas are treated by Tumescent Liposuction?

In women the most frequently areas treated by Tumescent Liposuction are the outer thighs followed by the abdomen. In men the most common area is the flank or “love handle” region. Other areas commonly treated include: the face, neck, upper arms, upper and lower abdomen, lower back, hips, thighs inner and outer, sides of the knees, and lower legs. It is uncommon to treat all of these areas at one time (if all areas were involved weight loss may be a better option). Usually there are only a few regions that require Tumescent Liposuction.

91) How do I prepare for Tumescent Liposuction surgery?

Tumescent Liposuction preparation requires avoiding medicines that can cause bleeding. Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and many arthritis medications interfere with platelet function and must be stopped 2 weeks before surgery. Many cold, sinus, and other medications contain these drugs and must also be stopped. Vitamin E interferes with the blood clotting factors from Vitamin K. If applicable, stop taking Vitamin E at least 3-4 weeks before surgery. Cigarette smoking can hinder wound healing, so please stop at least 3 weeks before your operation.

To avoid ingrown hairs, don’t shave or remove hair near the regions to be sculpted the day of surgery. You will not be able to eat after midnight in order to arrive with an empty stomach the morning of surgery. You will be able to take your medications with a small sip of water that morning. Check with your cosmetic surgeon about any medications that you will be taking. Wear loose fitting clothing that opens in the front or pulls over easily; this will make it easier to dress over your pressure garment and dressings.

92) How is the recovery time for Tumescent Liposuction?

Tumescent Liposuction leaves local anesthetic solution in the tissues providing greater comfort after surgery than the older techniques. This prolonged relief can be of value in cases done under general anesthesia or sedation. Once this wears off, however, most patients experience some discomfort that is usually easily managed with some oral medication for a few days.

You may weigh more, about the same, or less right after surgery. Some of this is from the extra fluids used during the Tumescent technique that you will urinate over the next day or so. Some weight will be from the fluid of tissue swelling. How much and where depends on what was done. Since there is less bruising and bleeding from Tumescent Liposuction, there is less blood to be absorbed and irritate tissues. The lack of this irritation means that the swelling goes down much faster.

After sedation or general anesthesia, eat lightly at first to avoid an upset stomach. Drinking some extra liquids will help your body adjust its fluid balance. Since there is a lot of fluid injected during Tumescent Liposuction, some does leak out of the tiny wounds after surgery. This is normal and should end within a week. Using feminine pads or dressings to catch this liquid is an effective way to deal with this minor inconvenience. You can resume showering by the second day after surgery.

Tumescent Liposuction results in a rapid improvement of your shape. Most of the swelling goes down within 10 days but part of the result is from the contraction of tissue that has been treated. Although patients see a dramatic improvement within 7-14 days, it will take 3 to 4 months to see most of the changes in your contour.

93) When can I resume my work and activities?

You will need to limit your activity for the first couple of days – no strenuous exercise, lifting or bending over. Avoid any type of aerobic exercise (any activity that raises your pulse above 90) for at least three weeks. That much work may increase your swelling. Many are able to return to work almost immediately. It depends on what you do and the activity level of your job. Resumption of activities also depends on the extent of your Tumescent Liposuction, your health, and how you heal. In general the discomfort lessens significantly in 2-4 days. Stabilizing your tissues in a special girdle (garment) increases your comfort and ability to get around.

ULTRASONIC ASSISTED LIPOSUCTION

94) Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction. What is it?

Ultrasonic Liposuction, or UAL, is a procedure that uses high-pitched sound waves to liquefy fat in a specific area before it is removed. UAL is a type of Liposuction that is primarily used for fat removal in hard-to-treat areas such as the chin, neck, cheeks, knees, calves and ankles. It usually serves as an addition to Tumescent Liposuction for patients who require more precise body contouring.

95) How do I know whether or not I am a candidate for Ultrasonic Liposculpture?

Traditional Tumescent Liposuction has been very effective in young patients with mild to moderate amounts of fat. Ultrasonic Liposuction expanded the number of patients suitable for body sculpting. This includes patients with larger amounts of fat and less elastic skin tone. It also allows surgeons to treat areas not easily or effectively treated in past years. This would include fibrous areas such as the back, male breast and upper abdomen. A physical examination is required in order to verify whether you are a candidate for this procedure.

96) What medical conditions might exclude me from being a candidate?

A patient needs to be in good medical condition in order to undergo this or other elective procedures. A patient should have the ability to heal incisions and adequately fight infections, and no medical contraindications such as a heart or lung disease. Heavier patients are now candidates for this type of procedure; however, obese patients with medical contraindications are not candidates. Patients with excessive amounts of redundant skin are not candidates for this procedure.

97) What sets Ultrasonic Liposuction apart from traditional Tumescent Liposuction?

What makes this so unique is the ability to gently liquefy or emulsify the fat without injuring the adjacent structures. This is a non-mechanical method of dissolving the fat that also appears to tighten the skin. There has been less blood loss, less bruising and decreased tissue trauma observed. Ultrasonic Liposuction allows us to also removed fat in areas that were preciously unable to have Liposuction such as the back, upper abdomen and male breast.

98) What is Internal Ultrasonic Liposuction?

Ultrasonic Liposuction, (Ultrasound Assisted Lipoplasty) or “Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction” (U.A.L.) is a technique of Liposuction where the fatty tissue is removed with the assistance of sound waves which are beyond the range of human hearing. Because the sound waves are doing the work the surgeon is able to more precisely guide the cannula. This increases safety. The Ultrasonic energy is targeted to fat cells and creates less damage to other tissues such as nerves, blood vessels and muscles.

99) What Areas of the Body Does UAL Treat?

Ultrasonic Liposuction can be used in all areas that traditional Liposuction treats, but it works especially well on areas that require more precision. The stomach, midsection or “love handles,” male breast tissue, chin, and neck all respond well to UAL, as do areas that have been previously treated with Liposuction but are in need of further contouring.

100) How can the plastic surgeon see what his doing?

The Ultrasonic Liposuction equipment is highly sophisticated. The fat is dissolved by the Ultrasonic waves that are emitted from the end of a cannula. This liquefied fat is then gently aspirated away. While endoscopic techniques have been utilized to inspect the areas in which the fat has been removed, it is not necessary on a routine basis. This is because the results are immediately visible, just as when ice or snow melts in the sun.

101) How do I decide whether to have Liposuction-Liposculpture, or Ultrasonic Liposuction?

The surgeon should review his experience with the various methods and analyze your body type. Some surgeons may advise Ultrasonic Liposuction for large volume extractions, especially in tough areas such as the back, flanks and hips. It was designed principally for the hard to extract deep fat and to reduce surgeon fatigue. External Ultrasonic energy can be applied and is recommended by some surgeons before or after the fat is removed by regular Liposuction. Ultrasonic Liposuction must ordinarily be combined with traditional Liposuction when deep and surface fat is being removed. This does add to the operating time or to the cost of the surgery and may offer no advantage for most surgeons. For gynecomastia (large breasts in the male), some experts advocate the sole use of Ultrasonic Liposuction but it should not be used aggressively near the nipple skin.

102) How the Ultrasonic Liposuction Procedure is done?

UAL is a form of Liposuction that uses Ultrasonic sound waves to essentially “melt” fat deposits into a liquid state. When combined with the injected Tumescent fluid, the liquid fat emulsifies, making its removal much easier.

Tumescent Fluid Injections

The first step in the Ultrasonic Liposuction procedure is the injection of Tumescent fluid, which is a mixture of anesthetic, salt water solution, and epinephrine, into the area being treated. This helps prevent fluid loss during the fat removal process and makes the deposits easier to remove.

Ultrasonic Sound Waves Liquefy Fat

During Ultrasonic Liposuction, fat removal is initiated by sound waves produced by a generator. The Ultrasonic waves are transmitted to a thin, vacuum-like tube, called a cannula. When the cannula comes into contact with the fat cells, they quickly liquefy, and are easily vacuumed out.

103) How long has Ultrasonic Liposuction been available?

Ultrasonic Liposuction began in Europe in the early 90s and became popular in the United States in early 1997.

104) Does Ultrasonic Liposuction cost more?

Because of the added cost of the equipment, some of which is disposable, most plastic surgeons charge slightly higher fees for Ultrasonic Liposuction. Because Cosmetic Harmony often combines traditional and Ultrasonic Liposuction to obtain the maximum benefit for each patient, there is only minimal added cost.

105) How the Ultrasonic Liposuction Procedure is done?

106) What are the Ultrasonic Liposuction risks?

Because a large amount of heat is created during Ultrasonic Liposuction, there is a greater risk of burns, blistering, and scarring. A UAL surgeon with Liposuction experience will know how to avoid this problem, but the danger should still be noted. Another risk is a condition called seroma, which occurs when the body tries to fill the void created by fat removal by producing excess fluid. This fluid must be removed continuously with a syringe until the cavity has closed.

LIPOSELECTION® / VASER®

107) What is the LipoSelection® developed by VASER®, and How this procedure is done?

VASER® Liposuction emulsifies fat prior to removal, facilitating the Liposuction process and reducing pain and tissue damage. LipoSelection® uses an ultrasound probe to break up fat before it is removed. This type of Liposuction reduces pain and results in a faster healing time.

LipoSelection®, developed by VASER®, is an Ultrasonic (UAL) Liposuction procedure, meaning it uses Ultrasonic energy as a means of fat removal. The ultrasound technology breaks up and emulsifies the fat that is to be removed. Unlike other fat removal methods, LipoSelection® leaves the surrounding nerves, blood vessels, and tissue virtually unharmed. After a local anesthetic is applied, the surgeon will fill the area to be treated with a saline wetting solution to numb the site and shrink blood vessels. This helps minimize post-surgical bruising and swelling. A small probe emitting high frequency sound energy is used to break up fat on contact with minimal damage to surrounding tissues. Fat may then be easily extracted with Liposuction tubes.

108) What areas of the body can LipoSelection® Treat?

The level of precision and safety LipoSelection® provides allows physicians to sculpt and shape delicate areas of the body, such as the arms, chin, neck and inner thighs. VASER® Liposuction can remove fat from any area treatable with traditional Liposuction techniques: abdomen, thighs, buttocks, knees, hips, back, arms, male breasts, love handles, chin and neck areas. Because LipoSelection® does not harm the tissues surrounding the treated area, patients experience only minimal bruising.

109) What is the benefit of getting a LipoSelection® procedure done?

This proprietary method by VASER® is considered an advanced Liposuction method in terms of both precision and diminished pain for the patient. LipoSelection® uses ultrasound technology to emulsify fat prior to removal. The liquefied fat can then be removed with ease, leaving surrounding tissue relatively undamaged. Not only will you experience less bruising and swelling following surgery, LipoSelection® is less painful than traditional Liposuction. This is because the sensitive nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue beneath your skin will remain largely undisturbed during the procedure.

110) Is there any type of Risks about LipoSelection® I should know?

The risks of VASER® Liposuction are very similar to the Liposuction risks associated with any other method. However, because LipoSelection® minimizes damage to other body tissues, patients typically experience less pain and fewer side effects than with other forms of Liposuction. Serious Liposuction complications are quite rare. Fat clots or blood clots may form, and there is a chance these will migrate to the lungs and cause serious illness. The fluid loss that results from Liposuction will be anticipated by a qualified doctor, as it can cause low blood pressure, friction burns, or fluid buildup. The LipoSelection® probe’s ultrasound energy may injure the skin or deeper tissues, although in most cases the benefits of the ultrasound system make it safer than traditional Liposuction. If a doctor inexperienced with the LipoSelection® procedure applies too much fluid, the wetting solution may collect in the lungs. If there is too much lidocaine in the Liposuction solution, lidocaine toxicity may develop.

PAL (POWER ASSISTED LIPOSUCTION)

111) What is PAL (Power Assisted Liposuction)?

PAL uses a powerized cannula which moves back and forth through the fat tissue in a rapid motion. PAL is not Ultrasonic. No heat is generated to harm healthy tissues. With PAL, less force is required to remove unwanted fat, especially in areas of more fibrous tissue. That makes the procedure easier on both patients and surgeons.

112) Who can be treated with power assisted Liposuction?

Both men and women can benefit from Power Assisted Liposculpture. Weight and age restrictions have been lifted. Most patients who have localized fatty deposits, are within thirty pounds of their ideal weight, and have been stable at that weight for years.

113) Who are the best candidates for PAL?

The best candidates are as follows:

• have firm, elastic skin and are in good health;
• have tried diet, exercise and weight loss programs;
• have disproportionate fat deposits in their body;
• have realistic expectations; and
• don’t expect liposuction to change their lives dramatically.

114) Which areas of the body are most frequently treated with PAL?

The most frequent areas treated by PAL in men are the “love handles,” breasts, abdomen and neckline. In women they include: thighs, hips, buttocks (saddle bags), stomach, knees, lower leg, ankles, jowls, and chins. Some women elect to have their fat recycled. Through a procedure called lipo-augmentation, their fat is transferred to other parts of their body, like their lips, for example.

How to Choose a Local Surgeon for Liposuction Surgery

Plastic surgery and liposuction in particular, can be a life-altering experience. Not only can liposuction make you feel better about how you look, but shedding pounds can also be important to your health. In order to have a successful liposuction procedure that leaves you both healthy and happy, you need to find a qualified and experienced doctor with whom you feel comfortable. Finding a surgeon for your liposuction procedure can be a daunting task. Hopefully, the guide below will help you find a great surgeon without becoming overwhelmed.

First: Generate a List of Cosmetic Surgeons in Your Area

Use the yellow pages, local online medical boards and organizations like the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons to help you generate a list of liposuction surgeons in your area. Once you have this list, you can begin to narrow down the list. First of all, make sure that every liposuction surgeon on the list has the appropriate credentials. Then, consider exactly what you want out of your liposuction surgeon. If you would feel more comfortable with a female doctor, for example, take this into consideration while narrowing down your list.

Second: Research the Liposuction Surgeons in Your Area

Once you have a list of liposuction surgeons who seem to be a possible match for you, do a little bit of research about each individual. Has the doctor won any awards? Is he or she on any important medical boards? How long has he or she been practicing liposuction surgery? Then, get in contact with the doctors and see if you might be able to review his or her past work. Many plastic surgeons have websites that include numerous before and after photos of their patients. Finally, make an appointment to meet with the surgeon with whom you feel most comfortable. If this consultation goes well and you are confident in the doctor’s abilities afterwards, then you have found your liposuction surgeon! If not, you can return to your list and make an appointment to see another surgeon who made it to the top of your list.

What if There Aren’t Any (or Many) Liposuction Surgeons in My Area?

If this is the case, you might want to cast a wider net. Many people travel across the country in order to have their cosmetic surgery and liposuction performed by a top surgeon. You can search for doctors all over the country by using the helpful website www.docshop.com. Traveling for surgery can be cost prohibitive as you may have to travel a number of times for your consultation, surgery, and follow-up visits. This is in addition to the liposuction cost , of course.

Furthermore, it is unwise to fly or travel by car or train directly after surgery, so you will have to book a hotel room. However, if you are dedicated to finding the best liposuction doctor for your surgery and are not confident in the abilities of the doctors in your area, you may want to seriously consider traveling for your surgery.

Using Liposuction As The Gateway To Physical Perfection

Everyone wants a fantastic body. For some, it’s just getting rid of extra fat. For a few it’s complete perfection–no fat, lots of lean muscle and clear skin. If physical perfection is your goal, diet and exercise are a necessity and not an option. However, if you want to go the extra mile and get rid of that stubborn fat (the fat that diet and exercise does not ever seem to get rid of), liposuction may be the solution for you.

If you are considering liposuction as a possible solution, here are some facts about the procedure you should know prior to making your decision:

Lipo Basics

Liposuction–or lipoplasty as it is sometimes called–is a surgical procedure in which fat deposits are removed from a specific target area of the body. Some of these targets include:

- thighs

- knees

- abdomen

- breasts

- arms

- buttocks

- back

The best candidates for lipoplasty are people within their normal weight range who are already on a diet and exercise program.

The Operation

The surgeon starts by outlining the target area on the patient’s body with a marker. General anesthesia is usually, but not always used for liposuction. The surgeon then inserts a vacuum-like instrument through an incision that will loosen the fat until it is ready to be suctioned out.

Liposuction is almost always a day procedure. After the surgery–or “post-op”– the patient will wear a restrictive elastic garment around the area operated on to reduce swelling. Antibiotics will be prescribed to prevent infection, and the patient will be advised not to participate in any major physical activity for a few months. For the first couple of days, the patient may experience minor pain and swelling in the area. Within ten days, the stitches fall out or are removed at a follow-up consultation with the surgeon.

How Much Does Liposuction Cost?

Surgical fees include the cost of the actual operation. The cost varies and is dependant upon what body area(s) are being operated on, and the size of the patient. There are also non-surgical fees that must be covered including the pre-op lab tests, supplies, nursing staff, and the cost to use the operating room. It is always wise to get a written estimate by the surgeon on how the procedure is going to cost. Almost all health plans do not cover liposuction because it is considered an elective “cosmetic” procedure. But there are other financial options available to help cover the cost of liposuction.

The choice to go under the knife with liposuction is entirely your’s. Doctors recommend having realistic expectations of your body, and not going overboard. However, liposuction can be a viable option if you carefully weight the risks and rewards and desire both mental and physical satisfaction.

How Much Does Liposuction Cost Nowadays?

Liposuction surgery may be carried out on both men and women whose fat is distributed unevenly and is performed under either general or local anesthesia, depending on the site to be treated and the amount of fat to be removed. The time the liposuction operation takes varies from 30-90 minutes, depending upon the extent of the procedure. The cost of liposuction is an important factor, but the expertise and experience of the surgeon assumes an even greater priority. The most common undesirable outcomes of unskilled liposuction are incomplete liposuction where no visible improvement is evident, or excessive/irregular liposuction producing uneven results with disfiguring depressions in the skin. Some patients are also left with excessive or large scarring. Therefore, choosing a liposuction surgeon purely based on the lowest price might ultimately be the most expensive choice, if the results are so bad that another surgeon must be paid to repair the work of the first surgeon.

In the United Kingdom, the General Medical Council keeps a Specialist Register of Plastic Surgeons who are considered to be suitably trained in plastic surgery. Many of these surgeons are also members of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Members of the British Association of Cosmetic Surgeons have satisfied that organisation that they are adequately trained to carry out cosmetic procedures. The cost of liposuction varies depending on how many parts of the body are treated. But you should expect to pay at least 2,000 pounds sterling for just one area, with the figure quoted normally averaging between 1,550 to 5,000 pounds sterling. The abdomen is typically the most expensive area to treat, followed by the breasts and thighs.

The arms and buttocks are usually the cheapest areas to treat, although prices vary according to how large an area is to be treated. Another factor determining the cost of liposuction is the size and weight of the patient and the resultant anticipated degree of difficulty. For example, the cost of abdominal liposuction on a patient who weighs 90 kilograms might be more than the cost for liposuction of the abdomen of a patient who only weighs 70 kilograms. It is also more difficult to perform liposuction on a patient who has gained and then lost a significant amount of weight. Also, any area previously treated with liposuction will often contain scar tissue within the fat, which makes liposuction in the same area more complex.

Be aware, when obtaining quotes for treatment, that some clinics may sound cheaper than others but may contain more hidden extras than a clinic which quotes a higher, all inclusive price. Before you sign up, it is advisable to find out exactly what the price includes and what else you may have to pay for. As well as the price of the liposuction itself, other expenses are involved, for example the cost of the operating room, nursing staff, pre-operative consultations and tests and post-operative supplies such as elastic compression garments. If a general anaesthetic is required followed by an overnight stay, then additional fees must be anticipated. Therefore, it is vital to find out exactly what your chosen clinic is quoting for.

Facial Liposuction – Costs, Risks And Alternative Solution

In facial liposuction, fat is removed from the lower facial structure to improve facial appearance. Although a person’s body begins to look better with diet and exercise, losing weight does not always affect the face. To remove the bulges along each side of the face and under the chin, liposuction can be performed.

The surgery could last for over three hours, depending on the amount of fat to be removed. General or local anesthesia is used to sedate the patient, and then a large amount of diluted anesthetic is injected into the skin along with some enzymes that will break down the fat.

The solution will make the face swell and give the surgeon more room to insert a vacuuming tube called a cannula between the skin and the underlying tissue. The surgeon uses a sawing motion to move the cannula back and forth under the skin and suck out the fat tissue. The friction from this motion heats up the tube, so an experienced surgeon will take a short break every so often to allow it too cool down.

Depending on job required, most plastic surgeons agree that a facial liposuction or neck liposuction will cost between 00 and 00 on the average. Patients are cautioned about going after surgeons who charge less because, in most cases, those doctors lack the expertise or experience to get the job done correctly.

Patients who said that they were unsatisfied with the operation were usually the ones who paid 0 to 00 for the procedure. Their complaints ranged from experiencing intolerable pain throughout the procedure, to acquiring liver and heart damage after the operation due to fluid retention. Some patients suffered from psychological problems during the recuperation period and others say that the operation failed.

Several cases of skin necrosis were reported whereby the skin died and sloughed off the area operated upon. Other patients described getting seromas which are pockets of yellowish puss under the skin. Incidents of friction burning also happened because the inexperienced surgeons did not know that the tube was getting too hot.

Most reputable surgeons will not recommend aggressive facial liposuction because irregularities caused by the troughs made by the cannula on the fat tend to show up because the procedure cannot be done deep enough under facial skin to hide it. Scarring and bruising will also readily show up from under the thin skin.

If light liposuction cannot achieve the desired effect, the patient is made to think about getting a buccal fat pad incision. Here, the fat under the cheek is surgically scraped off and the skin is repaired discreetly.

A relatively new method of liposuction, which is still being studied, is the use of ultrasound technology. The tool is applied externally thereby effectively minimizing the risk of infections like seroma and skin necrosis. And since this method covers a larger area than the thin cannula tube, no irregularity under the skin is evident. The results on several test subjects have so far been positive and the scientists developing the technology are optimistic about it so far.

The only practical non-surgical alternative for now is the use of facial exercises.  These face exercises have been used for decades by many celebrities, models, and regular people like me and you.

There are some who claim that certain face creams can have a positive effect. Â However, these creams only work on the surface and the results are not as readily evident. In most cases, the patient will not realize that the cream is not working until after a long period. Then, the patient has to patiently switch to another brand and wait for results, or lack of it, to show..

One other non-surgical alternative is the use of a shapewear garment. Although many doctors rave about its success, the shapewear garments are designed to be worn on other parts of the body. Unless somebody can come up with a garment that can be worn over the face everyday, this will not stop people from getting a facial liposuction.

Face Liposuction – Costs, Risks And Alternative Solution

A face liposuction is a facial liposuction or the removal of accumulated fat through surgery that is limited to the cheeks and front of the ears to reshape the facial appearance. Due to the thinness of the skin in this area, ordinary vacuum assisted liposuction or lipoplasty is not recommended. The surgeon could just as easily damage the patient’s appearance rather than improve on it since achieving complete symmetry with this procedure is almost impossible.

The most common side effect in this procedure includes swelling, infections and adverse reactions to the medicine used for the surgery including anesthesia. In some cases, skin necrosis, seroma or hematoma could occur. There is also the possibility of some other organ on the face being punctured by the vacuuming tool, causing excessive bleeding or organ damage. In a face lipoplasty, fluid retention from the fluids used is not a major concern due to the small area being operated on, but the possibility must not be discounted completely.

Under the conditions related to face liposuction, contouring and controlling irregularities becomes a major issue. So in order to shape the cheeks more accurately, the surgeon uses a cutting cannula called a liposhaver. Recent developments show that the use of ultrasound devices to liquefy the fat externally dramatically reduces the chances of infections and the wide area covered by such a device also reduces the amount of irregularities.

As with all plastic surgery, the cost of face liposuction will depend on the extent of the procedure to be done, the number of times it will be done, and clinic involved. Usually the total cost will vary from ,500 to ,500. The time required to perform the procedure varies between 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the manner in which the anesthetic is introduced into the area.

Candidates for face liposuction are especially warned about going to a reputable and well respected surgeon for the surgery. Inexperienced surgeons are more likely to make mistakes and these mistakes are especially evident when it is done on the face. One must also be aware that cosmetic surgery is often not covered by medical insurance.

The only other non-surgical alternative is to use facial exercises to tone the skin, and hopefully tighten it to achieve a more youthful look. Some creams also claim to have positive effects. Unfortunately, this will not achieve the desired sculpting effect that can be done through facial liposuction and not all creams sold in the market are effective in doing what they are supposed to do.

With dozens of products being advertised and sold on the market, ranging from the organic creams to “manufactured” creams, it becomes a daunting task to find one that will work effectively on a particular patient. This is why facial exercises have been used for such a long time; it is because they work.

For all the dangers, complications and high cost associated with cosmetic surgery procedures, face liposuction remains the popular choice among people wishing to achieve that youthful look because the result of a successful face lipoplasty is often dramatic. Patients can achieve a youthful look in a relatively short time, which generally enhances self-esteem and renewed confidence.

Even so, it is still recommended that any person considering a face liposuction should have a realistic approach to the procedure and must be aware and prepared for the consequences resulting from its failure or success.

One must not rely too heavily on this procedure to be a success because even when it is, it will not change other people’s opinion of him or her.

Liposuction, Liposuction Costs, And Rates Of Approval

Recent adoption of new laser technology has resulted in drastic decreases in liposuction costs. It has also resulted in drastic improvements in the actual results of liposuction. The recently released laser technology increases accuracy during the process of liposuction and it decreases the invasive qualities of the procedure. Because the invasive nature of the procedure is decreased the time required for recovery and the possibility of complication are both drastically decreased as well.

The popularity of liposuction has increased (and it was already popular). Many indicate that the popularity is really only a reflection of liposuction costs decreasing and making it more available to more people. And this is definitely something to consider. But a recent study indicates that this isn’t the main reason for the increase in popularity. According to the study young adults had higher percentages of approval for cosmetic procedures than any other age group. This indicates to many that “liposuction costs” aren’t the main force behind the increasing popularity since the young adult age group doesn’t typically consider costs as high a priority as nearly every other age demographic.

The young adult/teen age group doesn’t typically place “financial” at the top of their list of priorities when they are deciding upon what they like and what they don’t like. This financially minded addition to the typical “priority list” often comes to a person later in life. So the study commissioned by The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and conducted by Synovate, an independent research firm, indicates strongly that costs are not a top priority in determining approval or non-approval for cosmetic procedures like liposuction.

Not that liposuction costs aren’t being considered. They have to be considered. Individuals can’t have liposuction unless they pay for it. But not only are other aspects of the decision being given higher priority, but more clinics are offering financing that makes it more available to more people. If an individual can’t pay up front for their procedure they can most likely make payments.

Cosmetic procedures on the whole are far more mainstream than ever before. They are obviously beneficial for their aesthetic advantages, but more than that…they are just a more accepted part of today’s society.

Having cosmetic work done used to be seen as taboo. Many would refuse to admit they had any cosmetic procedures done. They would deny it if asked. In today’s social atmosphere it is more likely that they would want to discuss it thoroughly. They want to talk about the procedure, their doctor, their recovery time…all of it.

People of all ages discuss cosmetic procedures they would “like” to have done. They use it as a general topic of conversation. They chat about it in public. They make plans and lists of their favorite procedures they’ll have done someday. The “taboo” is over.

This new acceptance of all things cosmetic is to the advantage of individuals looking to have work done. While it most likely isn’t based on the liposuction costs…the new acceptance makes it easier for individuals not well versed in the cosmetic industry to make knowledgeable decisions regarding cosmetic procedures. They are able to take advantage of freely offered advice and honest discussions on the topic. This attitude increases the possibility for long term satisfaction after cosmetic procedures.

Liposuction Cost And The Price Of Beauty

If you are considering liposuction, also know as lipoplasty, you should carefully consider the cost of the procedure. If living a healthy live style is not producing the cosmetic results you are seeking, you should take into account how much lipo will cost in addition to weighing other risk and expense factors.

For many, liposuction cost determines whether or not they decide to move forward with the procedure. Here’s why:

There are two basic components used by surgeons to determine liposuction cost. They are: the area of the body, and how much fat needs to be removed. Typically the most affordable areas to have liposuction are the arms and back. These areas cost between ,500 and ,000. More expensive areas include this breasts and abdomen, which can range between 00 and 00.

Fee and Expense Breakdown

Liposuction cost includes both surgical and non-surgical fees. Non-surgical fees will include pre-op lab tests, surgical supplies, use of the operating room, and post-op garments and bandages. The surgical fee is of course the actual cost of surgery. The cost of surgery is largely dependant upon what areas of the body are being operated on—generally, the more fat deposits that need to be removed, the more the procedure will cost. Anesthesia is also often included in the surgical fee.

When shopping around for a good plastic surgeon to perform liposuction, it is not a good idea to hire the cheapest surgeon. Many patients unfortunately end up paying more in the long run when the have to repeat the lipo to remove bumpy spots, or have more fat removed. Although liposuction cost is important when choosing a surgeon, it is wise not to be too frugal about it.

Financing

Because lipoplasty is a cosmetic procedure, most health insurance plans will not cover it. However, if you choose to undergo this procedure, there are several other ways to pay for it. The recommended option is paying the liposuction cost in cash upfront. If that option isn’t realistic for you, there’s always financing it. The financing options include loan and credit card payments. INSIDERS TIP: Credit card interest is often much lower than cosmetic surgery loans.

The choice to have lipo done is completely choice. It is for your benefit and satisfaction. Since you care about both your body and your money, you should take care of both wisely. Make sure to carefully weigh all the pros and cons of cosmetic surgery before committing to go under the knife.

Liposuction Costs – Surprising Facts

For some people there comes a time in their lives where they are simply not happy with specific parts of their body and they consider getting a little liposuction done. However, while the majority of individuals are innocently enough thinking of getting these procedures completed, not many really understand the liposuction costs that are involved.

A person who is considering these procedures on one or more areas is looking at somewhere between ,000 to ,000. The reality for many people is unless you have been budgeting for a while, it is more than likely that you will need to take out a loan so you can get the surgery since liposuction costs money.

While there are numerous unique costs that each individual surgeon asks for their respective services, many of the costs involved are primarily universal. However, it is usually a wise idea to consult with a few different doctors so that you can make certain the amount you are paying is standard for the industry for the kind of procedure you are asking for.

Nevertheless, you should be prepared, since regardless of where you go, it is likely to be expensive regardless or how you look at it. You are obviously going to make certain that the surgeon that you pick is a good choice.

Basic Liposuction Costs

The costs are highly dependent on what you are going to get however lets say for instance that you really are just looking to focus on one specific area that you wish to improve. The basic liposuction costs for one specific area is roughly ,500 and that just covers a basic fee for the surgeon and the anesthesiologists and the primary run of the mill fee for the facility.

Certainly, the bulk of the funds is going to go to the surgeon, since they are the ones that are performing the main task. If you are looking to get three areas done the fees run around ,000 which is not that bad for the quantity of body mass that is being removed from the three separate areas on the body.

In the case of you looking to get as much fat sucked out of you as possible while you are on the operating room table you are going for five areas of the body. The basic liposuction cost for five areas of your body can run you roughly ,000. Quite a few surgeons may also suggest some added work for when you are on the operating room table.

If you are thinking of getting a buttock lift to your already expensive liposuction costs, you are looking at an added ,000 and if you are considering a tummy tuck that will run you an added ,000. However, for those individuals on a budget, you can always get a laser treatment if they have leg veins and that is just a lesser fee of 0.

Liposuction Cost

Liposuction is considered as a surgery that fulfills cosmetic needs and not medical needs. Hence, major insurance companies do not reimburse the cost. However, many financing options like loans and private financiers are there who can help you with meeting the costs.

Liposuction costs depend on various tangible and intangible factors, and their due consideration can help in arriving at an approximation of the cost.

Liposuction costs depend on factors like:

(1) The geographic location where the surgery takes place. In expensive cities, like New York, and Washington DC, the cost is higher than places like Beverly Hills, or Florida.

(2) The hospital operating room charge. If a hospital setting is required, then you will have to stay as an inpatient for two or three days.

(3) The surgeon’s fee. The more experienced the surgeon, the more is the charge.

(4) The anesthesiologist fee. Although there is not much difference in the material cost of general anesthesia or local anesthesia, but the time to be spent by the anesthesiologist increases in the case of general anesthesia, and hence that would cost more.

(5) The liposuction technique. Different techniques use different machines. If you go for UAL (Ultrasound Assisted Lipectomy), then the charge will be higher than ordinary liposuction procedure.

Number of areas that are to be treated. The more the number of areas to be treated, the less is the charge.

The amount of fat to be eliminated. The more the amount of fat to be removed, the more is the charge. Larger areas require more time and different liposuction methods, which all make the cost go up.

The weight of the patient. Underweight patient are not advised liposuction. Normal weight patients may go for liposuction in some areas where the fat does not go by diet or exercise. In normal weight persons, the amount of fat is less; hence, the surgeon has to be extra

careful that no excess fat is removed than is necessary. Therefore, the charge is more. Obese patients are ideal candidates for liposuction, and liposuction is easier hence, it is charged less.

The sex of the patient. Females have loose layers of fat, while males have dense layers of fat. Hence, liposuction for males is more time consuming and subsequently more costly than liposuction for females.

Other expenses. Lodging and accommodation are major costs, if you decide to take the surgery somewhere away from your home. Medicines, diagnostic tests, and other accessories like postsurgical tight fitting garments etc. also make the bill rise up.

Liposuction approximate prices

The prices vary from surgeon to surgeon, depending on their skill and experience, and on the factors like number of areas, place, liposuction method etc. Generally, the price range is approximately 00 to 000. For example, Liposuction on outer thighs would be approximately 00 whereas liposuction for the complete abdominal area would be approximately 000.

Liposuction cost varies from surgeon to surgeon and from place to place. The charges are not fixed and you can keep a buffer margin of around ten percent on the charges that you approximate for the liposuction procedure. However, it is always better to ask the surgeon how much will the procedure cost and most surgeons give an exact price after due evaluation

Liposuction Costs – Why you Should Consider India to Get the Look you Desire

Tummy Tuck’ or abdominoplasty, Liposuction of fat deposits has become hugely popular as an instant way of improving physical appearance.

Many patients are however put off by the high prices in Europe and the US and are traveling to India to get the same treatment at vastly reduced cost of 60% or more!

The benefits of doing this are huge

Not only do they get low cost liposuction costs, they get a free holiday of a lifetime and money left over!

If you have never considered India for Liposuction and tummy tucks now is the time to start, as the advantages make total sense – and the surgery is comparable with ANY in Europe or the US.

The Benefits of liposuction

Physical fitness, agility, and the overall beauty of a person are often judged from the size of the stomach, shape of the waist and the way the buttocks project. Waist to Hip ratio is also another factor in the equation for overall beauty.

Unsightly bulges, slack hanging flaps and fixed deposits of fat are often by products of obesity or overweight.

Liposuction – A quick and simple operation

This procedure can be done as a day case or you may need to spend 1 night in hospital, then you are off to enjoy your holiday!

Liposuction costs are cheaper In India

Tummy tuck operations and liposuction, which can cost as much as ,000 or £6,500 in Britain for major work, costs up to 60% less in India.

This huge saving can mean you can fund your holiday and still have money left over.

Minor liposuction in India is available for well under 0 – ,000 when it can cost several thousand in the US.

Regardless, of the extent of the liposuction performed, liposuction costs are far cheaper in India.

Why are liposuction costs so high in Europe and the US?

Quite simply in our image consious society the demand is huge and prices have remained high due to lack of competition, but competition is emerging as people travel to get reduced costs.

With low international travel costs fueling the boom in patients seeking overseas medical treatments and we have an industry that is booming and is now worth billions.

What are the treatments like in India?

They compare with ANY in Europe and the US. The cost is cheaper simply due to lower infa structure costs, quality of the treatment available is the same.

Low liposuction costs are available in India, but its not just low liposuction and tummy tucks that are available, you can get any cosmetic or medical surgery at vastly reduced cost.

This is now a multi billion pound industry with around 500,000 people travelling to India for medical treatments in 2005 alone and this number is growing rapidly.

Don’t forget the free holiday !

Of course, liposuction costs are so cheap the difference in money saved, means you can get the holiday of a lifetime in one of the most beautiful countries on earth and can still have money left over.

Combining your liposuction and tummy tuck with a relaxing break on the beautiful beaches of Goa or seeing tigers and elpehants, as well is an added bonus!

Is it easy to arrange

There are many companies who will arrange lower liposuction cost packages and take care of all the treatments and travel, making it totally stress free for you.

If you have never considered a medical tourism package to India, then you should.

Significant cost savings, a free holiday and in many instances money left over all combine to make a very attractive package.

Cheap Liposuction

Looking for a fast way to remove fat deposits in your body then look no further liposuction is the best cosmetic surgery that can solve your problems. We all want to look physically attractive and fit and we want to see the result right away that is the main reason why liposuction is so popular both to the young and old. The drawbacks is if you are currently residing in the US and Europe. Why? The reason is its hefty price in two countries. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative you can go to India where liposuction can go as low as 60 percent from that of US and Europe prices and at the same time enjoy the local scenery while you’re staying there.

If you spent the money you initially planned to use for you liposuction operation in the US and Europe it would be put to more use if you were to get a cheap liposuction in India. The amount of money you can save if you decide to have your liposuction operation can be used to stay and spend sometime traveling in India. The level of liposuction in India is on par that of the procedure you can receive in US and Europe.

If you have made up your mind to have a cheap liposuction in India you can expect to look younger and fit than you were before. You will no longer have to endure looking at your flabby arms or bulges that were loosely hanging out.

If you decided to have your liposuction surgery in the US chances are you would have spent a total of $10,000 US dollars. If you were to decide to have your operation in India which would be on par with the quality of that of the west you would have spent 60% of the cost of that of the West price. If you even decide to have just a minor liposuction operation in India it would cost not more than a thousand dollars. The liposuction would cost even less at almost $600 dollars if you were in the us it would cost you around $1000.

India is by far the best place to get a cheap liposuction procedure in the world. The reason why it is lower in India is because of the low cost of infrastructures there but despite the lower price the quality of the operation as well as the result is on par or equivalent to that of the US and Europe operation.

Liposuction is not only for women nowadays men are also catching up to the fever. Besides cheap liposuction in India the country has also a large medical industry that is estimated around one billion dollars that continues to grow and thrive that is mainly due to foreign patients that visit the country to wants to receive cheap operations.

The purpose of this article is to provide some basic ideas regarding the cost of liposuction on various parts of the body. Liposuction costs will fluctuate widely depending on the type of liposuction procedure to be performed and the area of the body to be treated. Liposuction cost for a single procedure on one area can cost as little as $800, but this cost can reach many thousands of dollars where more extensive liposuction is required. Additionally, the liposuction cost will vary from one plastic surgeon to another and also depends on the geographic location of the plastic surgeon. However, in general terms, the liposuction cost is based on the area of the body where the fat is removed.

Liposuction Financing and Costs

There are many variables in attempting to estimate the cost of a liposuction procedure. Whilst liposuction is routine cosmetic surgery performed by many plastic or cosmetic surgeons the variables can include the difference in cost between performing a procedure on a man or a woman. Liposuction for men is generally a more extensive – and therefore more expensive – procedure than for women, due in part to the differences in fat texture. A person’s general health and age can also affect the cost of the procedure. It should be noted that liposuction is not appropriate for those suffering from diabetes or other auto-immune diseases, heart or artery problems, or with a history of blood clotting or restricted blood flow. Liposuction financing and cosmetic surgery financing generally is not widely recommended because it makes the procedure so much more expensive in the long run. If you do need to make financing arrangements for your surgery you should be able to make an application through your doctor’s office.

Surgeon

Liposuction is routinely performed by many cosmetic surgeons. When you begin your search for a plastic surgeon, look for one who specializes in liposuction. Assess the difference in liposuction costs within your local area plus nearby regions. You may find cost differences between cosmetic surgeons practicing in urban, suburban or rural areas. You should get a more meaningful liposuction cost estimate after your initial examination by your surgeon and when you and your surgeon have developed a surgical plan for your procedure. Check that your surgeon has the appropriate training and board certification when you are investigating the cost for liposuction. A highly qualified, board-certified surgeon will command a higher fee, however that should help to ensure a successful outcome with fewer risks of complications. Remember that liposuction cost will vary between surgeons and also between geographic locations.

Ultrasonic

The introduction of ultrasonic liposuction increased the number of patients suitable for body sculpting. Ultrasonic liposuction allows fat to be removed from areas that were previously unsuitable for liposuction and can allow for more complete fat removal from various body areas. Of course, this advanced liposuction technique comes at a price and ultrasonic liposuction costs can be significantly higher than traditional tumescent liposuction.

Other Cost Factors

Other factors can affect liposuction cost in certain cases: If you need to travel to have your liposuction procedure performed in a different geographic region, you will need to allow for your travel and additional accommodation expenses. However, these travel costs need not make a major impact on the total cost of your liposuction.

Fees

Liposuction can be performed on many different areas of the body by cosmetic surgeons of varying qualifications and skills. The surgeon may employ different types of machines, and use different types of anesthesia; all these differences will affect cost.

As with most plastic surgery, liposuction cost is comprised of three main fees: surgeon’s fees, anesthesia fees, and operating facility fees. Additional costs for liposuction techniques can include compression garments and bandages worn after surgery, fees for laboratory tests, or other post-operative care fees. Some surgeons will prescribe treatments such as ultrasound, massage, or Endermologie after liposuction, and there will be fees associated with these additional treatments. Ask your surgeon to advise you in advance about other costs, charges, or fees.

Liposuction costs can vary greatly between different city, state and rural areas and also between surgeons of varying experience and qualifications. While consulting with a variety of plastic surgeons regarding liposuction procedures people will find major differences in liposuction cost. Ensure you engage a reputable and highly qualified surgeon to perform your procedure.

by Dr Taylor Cromish

We all seem to have less time nowadays for anything but work and it shows as we are all getting fatter. Fortunately liposuction is available as an aid to shifting some those unsightly lumps of fat.

Weight gain and fat distribution is different between men and women. Men tend to grow a large belly and women find the hips and thighs to be the problem areas. Fortunately liposuction can be used to reduce your fat and smooth out your appearance.

The bad news of course is that liposuction isnt the answer to losing weight and being thin. Its part of the solution along with sensible eating and a bit more exercise.

Liposuction? Tell me more

When you have liposuction fat is removed from your body. It is possible for most bits of your body to be liposuctioned but your tummy, thighs, back, neck and knees are the commonest areas.

You cannot have too much fat removed during the operation without risking serious problems and several days unwell in hospital. Surgeons know and recognise this and tens of thousands of patients have liposuction and are very happy.

To prevent these problems surgeons limit how much fat they remove at each operation. Fortunately surgical know how gets better all the time so at your consultation your surgeon will outline both your options and the limits.

Will I need to stay in hospital?

Overnight stays are getting less common as procedures improve. Other cosmetic procedures performed at the same time as liposuction may need an overnight stay.

Will I need an anesthetic?

Tumescent liposuction uses local anesthetic, which minimises your pain and enables you to simply have some sedation rather than a full general anesthetic. As a bonus, the sedation will probably stop you remembering much about your operation.

Liposuction – a safe procedure?

The risk of complications following liposuction is very low so it is a safe procedure. Trained and skilful surgeons, professional staff and modern techniques are your best defence against problems.

Can I have liposuction more than once?

Liposuction can be carried out several times especially on different areas of the body. You would need time to fully heal from one surgery before the next. Have a talk with your cosmetic surgeon and he or she will be able to give you a timescale, but it is better to avoid repeat operations.

For the very good reason that it works, liposuction is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery operations. In the right hands it is the answer to all those areas where the fat just will not go.

Before we purchase any product or services, we would always shop around for the best bargain. Selecting an establishment to perform any kind of plastic surgery is just the same. Regardless of the type of surgery that you wish to undertake, you would be surprise to discover the price gap between different hospitals and private practices in your state or within your country.

Unlike other services, a highly inflated price tag for plastic surgery does not necessary translates to a getting a better surgeon or a higher level or hospitality. A lot of the time, the higher per price tag merely reflects the higher standards of living and expenses in that particular area.

Liposuction, unlike many form of refined plastic surgery, is a type of surgery that can be safely performed by any qualified doctor. If you are planning to go for some complicated facial reconstruction surgery, you may want to get some referrals from friends and other patients before you make your decision.

Liposuction on the other hand is a fairly simple procedure that merely involves the removal of fat tissues for certain parts of your body. There are many qualified surgeons in the country that can perform this surgery competently so you can afford to shop around for the best bargain.

The best way to get an accurate price quote for your liposuction surgery is to have a consultation with the doctor. After a consultation, the doctor would be able to give you an accurate quote on how much the procedure would cost. You can make several appointments with several doctors in some hospitals near you before you make your decision.

There are many factors that can influence the price of the procedure. The reputation of the doctors is one of the main influences when it comes to the price. Experienced and reputable doctors usually charge much more than newcomers. The type of facilities provided in the hospital would also greatly influence the price.

Depending on the area where you want the excess fat to be removed, the average price of a liposuction procedure on one area is $3500. Prices can go as low as $1500 and as high as $8000 depending on the various factors above.

Cosmetic surgeries are slowly becoming as common as facials and manicures. In present day, more and more people are willing to undergo cosmetic surgeries to improve their appearance. Liposuction is among one of the most common cosmetic surgeries today. When cosmetic surgeries first became popular in the eighties, the cost of such procedures was so high that only the rich and famous people could afford it. Two decades down the road, the prices of such surgeries are now just a fraction of what it once was.

Nevertheless, cosmetic surgeries today are by no means cheap. Depending on a variety of factors, the cost could run from $2000 to $20000 for the exact same surgery. Before we make any expensive purchases, we would usually do some research on where we can get the best bargains. Since liposuction (and many other cosmetic surgeries) are not only expensive but carries with in many health risks, it pays to do a little more research before we undergo the surgery. Here are some of the factors that influence the price of a liposuction procedure.

1.The Doctor: The doctor that you choose to perfume the procedure is one of the major factors that influence the price of the surgeries. Very experienced doctors that have great track records and famous clients can cost five to ten times more than the average doctor. Depending on your budget, it is always worthwhile to go for reputable doctors if you can afford it

2.Locality. The location of the hospital or medical establishment is also another factor that influences the cost of liposuction. To quote an obvious example, the cost of liposuction in New York City would definitely be much more expensive than in a city like Tulsa. The standards of living in a particular place greatly influences the price of the procedure

3.Body Area. The area of your body where you would like for the excess fat to be removed is a major factor as well. The cost of liposuction on your cheeks and neck is much more expensive than the cost of removing excess fat from your chest and abdomen. The amount of fat that wants to be removed is also a factor to be considered.

4.Type of Surgery. Today, there are many types of liposuction procedures, all with varying price tags. Some of the more common procedures include laser liposuction and tumescent liposuction. The type of anesthesia used would also make a big difference in the cost of the surgery.

If you are looking for a new body for the new year and you want to know how much does liposuction cost? There are many factors that make up the cost of liposuction and can greatly depend on which area or areas of the body your looking to reshape. The length of the surgery is how your surgeon will start to price your liposuction surgery. Most surgeries that are performed in the United States are mainly the abdomen and thighs and will last anywhere from one to four hours.

There is an average price that most surgeons use and that is around $5000.00 to $7000.00 for a healthy weight individual. We as woman work really hard to get those extra places off where diet and exercise cannot remove. We need to turn to liposuction to achieve our dream bodies. That is why most of you are wondering how much does liposuction cost?

It will vary from each individual and area of surgery. You will have to pay for the anesthesiologists’ fees and the operating room fees where the surgery is performed. So remember, the cost is not set in stone and will very from surgeon to surgeon. This should be a guideline when finding how much does liposuction cost?

The surgeon fee is entirely dependent not only on the difficulty of the surgery, but also on the time that the liposuction procedure requires to be fulfilled properly. Some of you may have had a bad experience before with liposuction and did not achieve the results you needed. If this is the case, the price of correcting a previous liposuction surgery will make the cost higher.

You can count on paying more for your liposuction procedure because it is always easier to be the first sculpture or surgeon of your body and not the one that is correcting the problems. If there was heavy scarring or skin tags left your procedure will be longer and cost more than the original procedure.

One of the #1 concerns of women these days his how to get rid of cellulite. You see it is not always an easy process because it is something that affects both obese women and women that are in great physical condition. The crazy thing is that cellulite can still exist even in women that eat really healthy and exercise on regular basis. So at this point you are probably wondering what a possible solution would be.

A new procedure called lipodissolve is a treatment that is designed to melt fat away from the body. One of the biggest pluses to lipodissolve is that it does not require surgery and is a fairly simple and easy process. The treatment is conducted by injecting ingrediants that include sodium deoxycholate and phosphatidylcholine into the fatty area. After the drugs have been injected the start working to melt or dissolve the fat tissue from the body. Many believe the body then expels the fat cells from the body. There is not really proof of how the body does this, but most believe it gets expelled through the liver.

Proponents of lipodissolve state that any area above the knee (including under the chin, thighs, hips, abdomen, love handles, and jowels) can be treated with this procedure. Anesthetic may or may not be used for any discomfort that occurs during the procedure which usually takes 20-30. Multiple sessions are usually required to completely eradicate the problem. Common side effects include minor swelling, bruising , redness, and soreness over the injection site. Most doctors state that an improvement will be seen with in 4 weeks and the area will continue to improve for up to 12 weeks as the fat continues to be melted away. No long term studies have yet been done to determine how long the effects last or whether they are permanent.

Lipodissolve has been met with some critisizm. Some people believe that lipodissolve is not safe and they are trying to prevent the treatment from being conducted. This was seen in the state of Kansas as people tried to ban the treatment from being conducted in the state. This was blocked however, and the state said that they required more research to be conducted before they would agree to a ban of the treatment. The lipodissolve treatment has already been banned in Canada, the UK, and Brazil.

Mesotherapy is an alternative to Lipodissolve. Some claim that it is very similiar in results to lipodissolve although what it actual does doen’t seem to be the same. The Mesotherapy treatment only injections the drugs into the second layer of skin rather than the actuall fatty tissue. So this treatment does not get rid of the fatty tissue in the body. Its goal is to taut and smooth the skin rather they dissolve of the fat.

One of the best ways to lose weight and keep it off is the actual exercise and eating healthy that you always hear about. For some people this does not always work and it may not work for specific areas of the body. For these specific area lipodissolve can be a great. Both mesotherapy and lipodissolve can help with those specific problem areas. This can be done in a timely manner and with a small amount of pain compared to liposuction surgery. There has not been much research put into any kind of long term side effects that may be associated with having a lipodissolve or mesotherapy treatment. It is good to remember that it is still very important to eat healthy and exercise regularly.
