Many people want to have liposuction. There is a reason why it is the most popular surgical procedure in 2005 based on ASAPS(American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery). On the flip side many of the same people are concerned with the pain, risks and recovery times associated with a surgical cosmetic procedure like liposuction. This is where the quest for a liposuction alternative begins. Are there really alternatives to liposuction that are both effective and safe?

Liposuction has been used in the world of body contouring and shaping since the 70s. The liposuction procedures work to remove fats from areas that can include:

* Abdomen

* Thighs

* Knees

* Hips

* Buttocks

* Chin

Liposuction comes with the customary risks associated with surgery. Some are minor but some major risks exist particularly when anesthesia is involved. Recovery time is also a consideration depending on where you are having the fat removed and how much your are having done. These concerns drive the need for a valid liposuction alternative.

The most basic and common sense liposuction alternative revolves around changing your lifestyle to a more healthy one. Diet and exercise are a fundamental part of fat reduction. Some people have the discipline and the guidance that allow them to succeed in this area but others tend to go so far and reach a peak when it comes to fat reduction. People concerned with certain areas of the body like the abdomen or the chin may find that they can’t lose that last bit of fat no matter how hard they exercise and how well they eat.

For people who really wish to get rid of excess fats without surgery, you have several options to choose from. You need to be advised though that the results may not be as instant as liposuction. They do help you to reduce pain, risks, recovery time and costs.

Some Available Liposuction Alternatives

Depending on the area involved your liposuction alternatives may vary. Some liposuction alternatives that we have found are:

1. Thermage

2. Lipodissolve

3. Mesotherapy

4. Liposelection

Mesotherapy and Liposelection appear to be better for the bigger parts of the body. While Thermage and Lipodissolve seem to work better for the face, neck and chin.

Thermage is a liposuction alternative that uses heated lasers to tighten the patient’s skin on different areas of the body as well as the face. This procedure is considered a pain-free liposuction alternative and has been a common alternative for face lifts.

Lipodissolve is a procedure where fats are flushed out through the urine. The areas with unwanted fat are injected with medications and enzymes, which causes fat to dissolve and to be flushed out. Lipodissolve and mesotherapy are similar but lipodissolve is the liposuction alternative that is recommenced for removing excess fats on the face, especially the neck and chin areas.

If you need to work other areas aside from the face, neck and chin, another liposuction alternative called mesotherapy can be your best bet. This procedure has been used for many years to reduce cellulite. Similar to lipodissolve a patient is injected with a combination of substances. In this case medications, holistic compounds and amino acids are used.

Liposelection is the last liposuction alternative we will discuss. This treatment works by filling the fatty areas with saline solution to restrict the patient’s blood flow while breaking the fat tissues. Ultrasound energy is transmitted into the area for softening the fats and then taken out using suction and massage. In some ways this sounds like Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction but is said to be less painful.

These liposuction alternatives are not yet approved and you should know that the only proven method of removing fat cells is liposuction. However, these alternatives could work for patients who require small treatments. There are more options that are popping up every day but you need to consider their safety. We’ve also noticed a trend in trying to brand certain procedures even though they are very similar to each other. Research each liposuction alternative carefully.

You’ve heard of liposuction. Who hasn’t? The term has been around since the 1970′s and was popularized by many of the great celebrities of the 80′s. But now, as the first decade of the 2000′s has begun to see it’s close, there have risen many great liposuction alternatives that offer much less invasive surgeries at a more affordable cost.

Are these recommended procedures? By popular opinion (even by most health care professionals, nothing can quite measure up to old fashion sweat, healthy nutrition, and good self-image, but as far as “body contouring” goes, these are less painful, quicker in recovery time, and a lot less of an invasive ways to go if you’re looking for liposuction alternatives.

Liposuction Alternative 1: Lipodissolve

If you’re a tad squeamish about being under the knife for liposuction, you might want to take a look into Lipodissolve. There is a more in-depth discussions about this particular liposuction alternative found on other pages around Liposuction-Alternatives.info.

A quick run-down, however, is that Lipodissolve is a drug cocktail that is injected into a specific “problem area.” The fat in this area would then begin to melt away fat cells that are expelled through the body. This is a very thorough liposuction alternative, but should be carefully considered before proceeded upon.

Liposuction Alternative 2: Mesotherapy

Much like the Lipodissolve treatments, mesotherapy is an injected mixture of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that are meant to break down fat and tighten skin. This alternative to liposuction is a great way to eliminate the areas that have a fair amount of cellulite.

Much like Lipodissolve, mesotherapy destroys the fat cells in the layer of skin with the most fat cells. These fat cells will typically explode and die, reducing the unsightly cellulite in those trouble spots. As far as non-invasive liposuction alternatives, mesotherapy is a very popular choice among many seeking a better body.

Liposuction Alternative 3: SmartLipo

Early in the pioneer days; indeed, long before that, they use to use the fat from pigs, and other cattle to create soap, candles, and various cooking agents. Have you ever cut cold butter? What about with a warm knife? Ever notice how butter, when it’s hot, will actually melt off of a corn cob, or a plate?

SmartLipo is a type of liposuction that actually uses lasers to heat up fatty areas. When these heat up, the fat will actually melt away. There is minimal downtime (1 – 3 days) where you are asked to lower your strenuous activities exponentially. Although more invasive than the previous 2 choices, SmartLipo is a great liposuction alternative, because the fat cells never return.

Liposuction Alternative 4: Diet and Exercise

Most looking for liposuction options tend to shy away from these two because they are not instantanious like liposuction or any of the liposuction alternatives. Although diet and exercise take a little longer before the results show up, these two tend to be what professionals advise at first.

Even if you were to get liposuction or one of the alternatives, it’s a good chance that you’re going to end up having to eat right and stay active to keep the weight off. The body still gains weight, even when fat cells are gone from specific areas, so make sure this is a key thought when considering liposuction alternatives.

Liposuction Alternative 5: Acceptance

The last alternative, and the conclusion of this article, is accepting yourself for what you look like. Despite the image that is portrayed on the television screen, you must consider yourself as an individual who has genetic limits and boundaries. Although you should strive for health in body and in mind, never attempt to take the easy road just because your self-image is tainted by what others might think.

Liposuction is not a weight loss tool, and is never advised to be such. It is merely an option for those looking to hone their body in ways that diet and exercise don’t seem to allow. Always way the consequences, results, and benefits of your actions before you act. Ask your friends what they think. Really take into consideration if liposuction, or any of these liposuction alternatives are right for you.

By: Nicolos Rayez

About the Author:

One of the #1 concerns of women these days his how to get rid of cellulite. You see it is not always an easy process because it is something that affects both obese women and women that are in great physical condition. The crazy thing is that cellulite can still exist even in women that eat really healthy and exercise on regular basis. So at this point you are probably wondering what a possible solution would be.

A new procedure called lipodissolve is a treatment that is designed to melt fat away from the body. One of the biggest pluses to lipodissolve is that it does not require surgery and is a fairly simple and easy process. The treatment is conducted by injecting ingrediants that include sodium deoxycholate and phosphatidylcholine into the fatty area. After the drugs have been injected the start working to melt or dissolve the fat tissue from the body. Many believe the body then expels the fat cells from the body. There is not really proof of how the body does this, but most believe it gets expelled through the liver.

Proponents of lipodissolve state that any area above the knee (including under the chin, thighs, hips, abdomen, love handles, and jowels) can be treated with this procedure. Anesthetic may or may not be used for any discomfort that occurs during the procedure which usually takes 20-30. Multiple sessions are usually required to completely eradicate the problem. Common side effects include minor swelling, bruising , redness, and soreness over the injection site. Most doctors state that an improvement will be seen with in 4 weeks and the area will continue to improve for up to 12 weeks as the fat continues to be melted away. No long term studies have yet been done to determine how long the effects last or whether they are permanent.

Lipodissolve has been met with some critisizm. Some people believe that lipodissolve is not safe and they are trying to prevent the treatment from being conducted. This was seen in the state of Kansas as people tried to ban the treatment from being conducted in the state. This was blocked however, and the state said that they required more research to be conducted before they would agree to a ban of the treatment. The lipodissolve treatment has already been banned in Canada, the UK, and Brazil.

Mesotherapy is an alternative to Lipodissolve. Some claim that it is very similiar in results to lipodissolve although what it actual does doen’t seem to be the same. The Mesotherapy treatment only injections the drugs into the second layer of skin rather than the actuall fatty tissue. So this treatment does not get rid of the fatty tissue in the body. Its goal is to taut and smooth the skin rather they dissolve of the fat.

One of the best ways to lose weight and keep it off is the actual exercise and eating healthy that you always hear about. For some people this does not always work and it may not work for specific areas of the body. For these specific area lipodissolve can be a great. Both mesotherapy and lipodissolve can help with those specific problem areas. This can be done in a timely manner and with a small amount of pain compared to liposuction surgery. There has not been much research put into any kind of long term side effects that may be associated with having a lipodissolve or mesotherapy treatment. It is good to remember that it is still very important to eat healthy and exercise regularly.

Liposuction is known world wide. This surgical procedure for removing excess fat from the body has enjoyed ever increasing popularity the last decade. However, there are other options for banishing excess fat other than surgery. These new, innovative options have some additional benefits that are not gained from the traditional procedures. Lipodisolve is one of these options.

Lipodisolve has the same goal in mind as liposuction-to remove and/or reduce unwanted areas of fat from different regions of someone’s body. However, lipodisolve has some major benefits. First and foremost, lipodisolve do not require incisions or many times anesthetic. Furthermore, most times recovery time is minimal.

One of the major differences between lipodisolve and liposuction is that lipodisolve has not yet been approved by the FDA, whereas, liposuction has. However, this does not necessarily mean that lipodisolve is an unsafe procedure or that it won’t be approved in the future. The FDA has also not prohibited lipodisolve. With it being neither approved or prohibited it is apparent that the FDA has simply not made up its mind yet concerning the procedure. It is important to note that lipodisolve is a fairly new procedure and liposuction has been in existence for a lot longer. This means that liposuction has had time to go through the FDA’s lengthy and rigorous approval process.

Another good aspect of both surgeries to understand is how the procedures differ. First, with liposuction, a doctor will remove the unwanted and/or excess fat via a tube that is inserted directly into the areas of fat the patient would like removed. This is done via a small cut on the skin. In many ways, you can look at the tube as a vacuum sucking out the fat (hence the name, liposuction). Lipodisolve, on the other hand is a procedure that requires no incisions. Because there are no incisions made, you may have less risk of infection, which many people consider a large benefit.

Rather than making an incision, lipodisolve involves injecting a cocktail of various chemicals directly into the fatty tissue being treated. This could be in the patient’s arm, thighs, stomach, wherever the target area is. These chemicals disorder the solid fat into a liquid fat. It is then believed that this liquid fat is expelled from your body. This procedure is much less invasive and less painful than liposuction, and many choose lipodisolve for these reasons.

Finally the effectiveness of the procedure is obviously one of the most important considerations. It will make little difference if you suffered no pain if the procedure doesn’t accomplish what you wanted it to. Both lipodisolve and liposuction can have the desired results. However, most professionals recommend that if you’re attempting to remove a large area of fat, liposuction is a more realistic option. Lipodisolve is most effective in targeting smaller areas. It is essential to speak to a doctor as well as previous patients of both lipodisolve and liposuction to determine which procedure best suits you.

With times always changing it’s no wonder that a liposuction alternative has come about. It has actually been about 10 years in the making but lipo dissolve is making headway as a great alternative for those considering liposuction. You are probably wondering why this new alternative is making headway and why it is turning heads in the process.

Since there are lots of people that contemplate having liposuction as a means to getting rid of unwanted fat from there body it is easy to see why there is growth in this industry. It was only a matter of time before a liposuction alternative existed. Many people hate the idea of having surgery or have a real fear of having surgery. Lipo Dissolve does not require any type of surgery in order for the treatment to work. How great is that?

When performing lipo dissolve, a doctor injects a solution directly into the targeted fatty area. The solution involves several complex chemicals which transform the solid fat into a liquid substance which is then believed to be expelled from the body. It’s sounds unbelievable right? The vast majority of patients report being very happy with the results. However, effectiveness varies from person to person and it’s important to consult with a doctor before undergoing the procedure.

For many people lipo dissolve is just what they have been waiting for. Having a doctor slice into your body is never fun and can have many dangerous side effects.

Another great benefit to the liposuction alternative known as lipodissolve is that there are not any known side effects to the treatment. The treatment has been around for about 10 years so that is a decent amount of time for any side effects of the treatment to manifest themselves. It is not necessarily known what kind of long term side effects there might for patients of the lipo dissolve treatment.

Three to four treatments are usually required for lipo dissolve to have the desired and expected effect. The number of treatments will vary depending on the size of the area being treated and the area targeted. It is important to understand that multiple treatments are necessary the majority of the time in order to not get disappointed after the initial treatment. As you research this procedure online you will see many complaints that the procedure was not effective. However, always note whether the complainer went through the whole treatment or only went in the first time and quit when they didn’t see immediate results. The quitters are not giving lipo dissolve what it needs to succeed.
