How Much Does Liposuction Cost Nowadays?

Liposuction surgery may be carried out on both men and women whose fat is distributed unevenly and is performed under either general or local anesthesia, depending on the site to be treated and the amount of fat to be removed. The time the liposuction operation takes varies from 30-90 minutes, depending upon the extent of the procedure. The cost of liposuction is an important factor, but the expertise and experience of the surgeon assumes an even greater priority. The most common undesirable outcomes of unskilled liposuction are incomplete liposuction where no visible improvement is evident, or excessive/irregular liposuction producing uneven results with disfiguring depressions in the skin. Some patients are also left with excessive or large scarring. Therefore, choosing a liposuction surgeon purely based on the lowest price might ultimately be the most expensive choice, if the results are so bad that another surgeon must be paid to repair the work of the first surgeon.

In the United Kingdom, the General Medical Council keeps a Specialist Register of Plastic Surgeons who are considered to be suitably trained in plastic surgery. Many of these surgeons are also members of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Members of the British Association of Cosmetic Surgeons have satisfied that organisation that they are adequately trained to carry out cosmetic procedures. The cost of liposuction varies depending on how many parts of the body are treated. But you should expect to pay at least 2,000 pounds sterling for just one area, with the figure quoted normally averaging between 1,550 to 5,000 pounds sterling. The abdomen is typically the most expensive area to treat, followed by the breasts and thighs.

The arms and buttocks are usually the cheapest areas to treat, although prices vary according to how large an area is to be treated. Another factor determining the cost of liposuction is the size and weight of the patient and the resultant anticipated degree of difficulty. For example, the cost of abdominal liposuction on a patient who weighs 90 kilograms might be more than the cost for liposuction of the abdomen of a patient who only weighs 70 kilograms. It is also more difficult to perform liposuction on a patient who has gained and then lost a significant amount of weight. Also, any area previously treated with liposuction will often contain scar tissue within the fat, which makes liposuction in the same area more complex.

Be aware, when obtaining quotes for treatment, that some clinics may sound cheaper than others but may contain more hidden extras than a clinic which quotes a higher, all inclusive price. Before you sign up, it is advisable to find out exactly what the price includes and what else you may have to pay for. As well as the price of the liposuction itself, other expenses are involved, for example the cost of the operating room, nursing staff, pre-operative consultations and tests and post-operative supplies such as elastic compression garments. If a general anaesthetic is required followed by an overnight stay, then additional fees must be anticipated. Therefore, it is vital to find out exactly what your chosen clinic is quoting for.

Laser Liposuction Corrects Post Liposuction Bumps, Lumps and Skin Irregularities

Non laser liposuction is the most commonly performed plastic surgery procedure in the world. Yet as many as 20% of people who have had this surgery have skin irregularities, lumps, bumps and wavy line on the skin after non laser liposuction. Many more people complain of loose skin after non laser liposuction. The new laser liposuction accomplishes fat removal but also leaves the skin smooth without the lumps, bumps, wavy lines, and skin irregularities called contour deformities. This new laser liposuction technology is a revolutionary advance in plastic surgery and particularly is the area of liposculpting and body contouring. The new laser liposuction allows the plastic surgeon to melt and remove fat, tighten skin and really accurately achieve body shaping and body contouring and leave smooth tight skin in almost any body area for the first time.

What causes lumps, bumps and skin irregularities?

The traditional operation removes fat by creating high pressure suction within a metal tube called cannulas, which is inserted beneath the skin to suction or vacuum the fat out from beneath the skin. This is a rather traumatic process as the fat is essentially avulsed or ripped out from its location beneath the skin. It is also a “blind procedure”, that is the surgeon cannot accurately see exactly where the fat has been removed because the procedure is being done beneath the skin and not under direct vision. It is therefore, easy for areas of fat to be missed or left behind after the suction process. These areas of fat left behind appears as lumps or bumps, contour deformities after the patient has healed form the procedure, usually between 6 weeks and 3 months.

Skin depressions and wavy lines, the other contour deformity occur because the suction tube or cannula is placed too close to the underside of the skin and suctions or pulls fat out that should be left behind to make the skin stay smooth looking. Surgeons always try to leave ½ inch of fat beneath the skin to make the skin surface uniformly smooth. However when the suction tube, cannula, gets too close to the underside of the skin, this important superficial fat layer is removed and a divot, depression or wavy line on the skin can occur. In summary, contour deformities are caused by:

· Irregular, inconsistent fat removal beneath the skin

· Fat removal too close to the underside of the skin

· Loss of superficial skin smoothing fat layer

How does laser liposuction avoid contour deformities?

Laser liposuction is done very differently. A tiny laser fiber is placed beneath the skin and used to melt the fat into a thin liquid before any suctioning is done. As the procedure advances and the fat is liquefied, it is very easy to pass the fiber into all of the deep fat areas, so it is less likely that the surgeon will miss or leave behind any areas of fat that could become contour deformities.

The heat generated during fat dissolving also tightens the skin so that loose skin will not be left after the fat has been removed.

Because the fat has been dissolved into a thin liquid, removal is much easier and less traumatic than with the older technique. Tiny 2mm and 3 mm cannulas, suction tubes, can be used to gently aspirate or suction the liquefied fat out. Fat is not pulled or ripped out in chunks as is done with older suction techniques.

This makes it much less likely that that the suction tube or cannula will be forced too close to the undersurface of the skin and create a skin depression, divot, wavy line or deformity after fat removal is completed. In my experience during the past year I have not had one contour deformity following this new procedure. In summary this new technique avoids loose skin and contour deformities by:

· Liquefying fat before suction

· Use of tiny instruments

· Gentle technique

· Tightening of skin

How does this new technique correct old contour deformities from previous surgery?

The tiny fiber that is placed beneath the skin has a red blinking light which is visible through the skin. Because of this for the first time the surgeon can actually see exactly where he is operating in the fat beneath the skin. Using this technique I use the fiber to only treat and liquefy fat in the areas of lumps and bumps and contour irregularities. This allows me to remove the lumps and bumps and level the skin to the same level as the other areas surrounding the deformity.

In addition, I use the fiber to treat, smooth and tighten all of the surrounding skin to create a uniform appearance to the entire skin surface. My result so far treating post operative skin deformities have been truly stunning. My patients have been “thrilled” with the improvement. See before and after pictures of laser lipo to correct lumps and skin deformities caused by previous old time liposuction in my patient below:

If you are considering fat removal, body contouring, body sculpture or liposculpture you really need to learn more about the new modern technology. There are many different machines and technologies and some work better than others. You need to be an informed consumer so that you will end up being a happy and satisfied patient.

The purpose of this article is to provide some basic ideas regarding the cost of liposuction on various parts of the body. Liposuction costs will fluctuate widely depending on the type of liposuction procedure to be performed and the area of the body to be treated. Liposuction cost for a single procedure on one area can cost as little as $800, but this cost can reach many thousands of dollars where more extensive liposuction is required. Additionally, the liposuction cost will vary from one plastic surgeon to another and also depends on the geographic location of the plastic surgeon. However, in general terms, the liposuction cost is based on the area of the body where the fat is removed.

Liposuction Financing and Costs

There are many variables in attempting to estimate the cost of a liposuction procedure. Whilst liposuction is routine cosmetic surgery performed by many plastic or cosmetic surgeons the variables can include the difference in cost between performing a procedure on a man or a woman. Liposuction for men is generally a more extensive – and therefore more expensive – procedure than for women, due in part to the differences in fat texture. A person’s general health and age can also affect the cost of the procedure. It should be noted that liposuction is not appropriate for those suffering from diabetes or other auto-immune diseases, heart or artery problems, or with a history of blood clotting or restricted blood flow. Liposuction financing and cosmetic surgery financing generally is not widely recommended because it makes the procedure so much more expensive in the long run. If you do need to make financing arrangements for your surgery you should be able to make an application through your doctor’s office.

Surgeon

Liposuction is routinely performed by many cosmetic surgeons. When you begin your search for a plastic surgeon, look for one who specializes in liposuction. Assess the difference in liposuction costs within your local area plus nearby regions. You may find cost differences between cosmetic surgeons practicing in urban, suburban or rural areas. You should get a more meaningful liposuction cost estimate after your initial examination by your surgeon and when you and your surgeon have developed a surgical plan for your procedure. Check that your surgeon has the appropriate training and board certification when you are investigating the cost for liposuction. A highly qualified, board-certified surgeon will command a higher fee, however that should help to ensure a successful outcome with fewer risks of complications. Remember that liposuction cost will vary between surgeons and also between geographic locations.

Ultrasonic

The introduction of ultrasonic liposuction increased the number of patients suitable for body sculpting. Ultrasonic liposuction allows fat to be removed from areas that were previously unsuitable for liposuction and can allow for more complete fat removal from various body areas. Of course, this advanced liposuction technique comes at a price and ultrasonic liposuction costs can be significantly higher than traditional tumescent liposuction.

Other Cost Factors

Other factors can affect liposuction cost in certain cases: If you need to travel to have your liposuction procedure performed in a different geographic region, you will need to allow for your travel and additional accommodation expenses. However, these travel costs need not make a major impact on the total cost of your liposuction.

Fees

Liposuction can be performed on many different areas of the body by cosmetic surgeons of varying qualifications and skills. The surgeon may employ different types of machines, and use different types of anesthesia; all these differences will affect cost.

As with most plastic surgery, liposuction cost is comprised of three main fees: surgeon’s fees, anesthesia fees, and operating facility fees. Additional costs for liposuction techniques can include compression garments and bandages worn after surgery, fees for laboratory tests, or other post-operative care fees. Some surgeons will prescribe treatments such as ultrasound, massage, or Endermologie after liposuction, and there will be fees associated with these additional treatments. Ask your surgeon to advise you in advance about other costs, charges, or fees.

Liposuction costs can vary greatly between different city, state and rural areas and also between surgeons of varying experience and qualifications. While consulting with a variety of plastic surgeons regarding liposuction procedures people will find major differences in liposuction cost. Ensure you engage a reputable and highly qualified surgeon to perform your procedure.

What Are the Major Risks and Potential Complications of Liposuction?

Like any non-cosmetic major surgery, liposuction has potential risks and complications. Therefore, you should consider it as seriously as you would any major surgery.

What Are the Common Minor Complications, or Consequences?

Changes in Skin Sensation. This is a normal consequence of liposuction that occurs in everyone to a different extent. You may experience “paresthesias,” which is an altered sensation at the site of the liposuction. This may either be in the form of an increased sensitivity (pain) in the area, or the loss of any feeling (numbness) in the area. This sensation is permanent in very rare cases. However, in almost all patients it goes away within the first two to four months after surgery. Massaging the area helps increase circulation, and facilitate return of normal skin sensation.

Swelling. This is also a normal occurrence that occurs in every patient. Compression garments and post-operative massage help to minimize this, as well as reducing its duration to less than two months.

Bruising: There will be bruising in many areas that are liposuctioned, as well as in adjacent or dependent areas. For example, people who have abdominal liposuction experience swelling and bruising in their *********. This is not because these areas are actually liposuctioned. However, bruises usually move downward due to gravity, and can thus temporarily accumulate in the *********. Some bruising can last a long time or even lead to permanent skin pigmentation. Sun tanning immediately after surgery can cause these bruises to become permanent skin stains.

Skin Irregularities or Wrinkles: The extent of this depends on the elasticity of the suctioned skin areas. People who have many stretch marks, cellulite, or skin dimples have poor elasticity and therefore will have more skin irregularities or wrinkles. Usually, post-operative massage helps to smooth these areas.

Asymmetry: No two halves of the body are identical. Therefore, following surgery, there may appear to be very slight differences between the contour and size of the two sides. Scoliosis or other spine derangements can magnify body asymmetry.

Muscle Spasm: It is very common to get temporary muscle spasm or cramps in the areas that were worked on. This usually resolves quickly by itself or can be helped by gentle heat and massage.

Pain and Discomfort: You should expect to have pain or discomfort similar to a feeling of having worked out too hard. Some of this may feel like a stabbing pain in the liposuctioned areas, and in adjacent areas. This can usually be managed by pain medications, and it generally lasts for a few weeks. Rarely, and in people with Fibromyalgia, or other forms of chronic pain syndrome, there can be a worsening of the patient’s baseline pain.

Depression, emotional, or sexual changes: There have been reported incidents of post-liposuction depression similar to postpartum depression. While this is usually temporary, patients need to address it with their physician.

Seroma or fluid collection: After surgery, there may be a pooling of serum, the straw colored liquid from your blood, in areas where tissue has been removed. While this can be a common problem with Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction (UAL), it rarely occurs with standard Tumescent Liposuction. Your surgeon can alleviate these by draining them with a small needle in an office procedure.

Rare and Severe Complications:

Infections. Infections may happen after any surgery and may rarely occur after surgery. Because we routinely prescribe an antibiotic to all patients we have never yet seen a patient who has developed post-operative infection after liposuction. Extremely rarely, infections may be serious or life threatening such as in cases of necrotizing fasciitis (bacteria that eat away at the tissue) or with toxic shock syndrome, a serious, sometimes fatal infection caused by a bacteria, that is associated with surgery (such as is sometime caused by the use of tampons).

Embolism. This is also extremely rare and is lessened by early postoperative mobility so that blood does not have time to become stagnant in calf muscles. Fat embolism may occur when fat is loosened and enters the blood through blood vessels ruptured (broken) during liposuction. Pieces of fat get trapped in the blood vessels, gather in the lungs, or travel to the brain. The signs of pulmonary emboli (fat clots in the lungs) may be shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. If you have the signs or symptoms of fat emboli after liposuction, it is important for you to seek emergency medical care at once. Fat emboli may cause permanent disability or, in some cases, be fatal.

Visceral Perforations (puncture wounds in the organs). During liposuction, the physician is unable to see where the cannula, or probe, is. It is possible to puncture or damage internal organs during liposuction. This may happen, for instance, if the intestines are punctured during abdominal liposuction. When organs are damaged, surgery may be required to repair them. Visceral perforations may also be fatal.

Skin Necrosis (skin death). The skin above the liposuction area or at the site of stab wound incisions may become necrotic or “die.” This is more prevalent with Ultasound Assistant Liposuction. When this happens, skin may change color and be sloughed (fall) off. Large areas of skin necrosis may become infected with bacteria or microorganisms.

Burns. During Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction, the ultrasound probe may become very hot and can cause burns.

Fluid Imbalance. Fat tissue, which contains a lot of liquid, is removed during surgery. Also, physicians may inject large amounts of fluids during liposuction. This may result in a fluid imbalance. While you are in the physician’s office, surgical center or hospital, the staff will be monitoring you for signs of fluid imbalance. However, this may happen after you go home and can result in serious conditions such as heart problems, excess fluid collecting in the lungs, or kidney problems as your kidneys try to maintain fluid balance.

Toxicity from Anesthesia. Lidocaine, a drug that numbs the skin, is frequently used as a local anesthetic. You may have had a similar drug, Novocaine, to numb your mouth at the dentist. Large volumes of liquid with lidocaine may be injected during liposuction. This may result in very high doses of lidocaine. We try to minimize the potential for Lidocaine toxicity by greatly limiting the extent of Lidocaine used during general anesthesia. The symptoms of this toxicity are lightheadedness, restlessness, drowsiness, tinnitis (a ringing in the ears), slurred speech, metallic taste in the mouth, numbness of the lips and tongue, shivering, muscle twitching and convulsions. Lidocaine toxicity may cause the heart to stop, resulting in death. In general, any type of anesthesia may cause complications and is always considered a risk during any surgery.

Are you tired of sweating on the treadmill and living on celery sticks and brown rice? Do you watch reality TV shows where overweight individuals undergo seemingly magical transformations in under an hour? The popularity of reality TV shows where people undergo liposuction to get rid of those extra pounds have made plastic surgery more mainstream than ever, and why not?

Liposuction seems like a pretty attractive alternative to sweating it out in the gym. Truthfully, successful weight loss remains an elusive goal for millions of individuals, so liposuction appears an increasingly attractive weight loss option. But is it safe? Is liposuction a viable option on the path to weight loss?

Before you can determine whether liposuction is right for you, it helps to learn about the procedure. Liposuction is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures available today. Almost all liposuction procedures are done in a very conservative manner. This means that the amount of fat removed from a patient’s body is generally small.

Although most liposuction procedures do only remove a small amount of fat, many plastic surgeons also practice large volume liposuction. Generally, large volume liposuction procedures are classified as those where over 5,000 cc of fat are removed. Large volume liposuction procedures generally require the patient to remain in the hospital for an overnight stay.

Most liposuction procedures are done under a general anesthetic. In some cases, liposuction procedures can be done under a local anesthetic. This type of sedation is generally reserved for cases where only small amounts of fat are being removed from specific locations.

What are the most common locations that individuals get treated through liposuction? The most common areas treated include the abdomen, buttock region, hips, and upper thighs. Other areas that are treated include the arms, chin, knees, and back, although these areas are not as common.

How does liposuction work, exactly? In most cases, the plastic surgeon uses a small tool called a cannulas. The cannulas is used to break up fat stored in the body while simultaneously suctioning it. The cannulas is designed so that it not only breaks up and suctions fat, but also contours the body so that no irregularities in the skin are left behind.

There are two basic forms of liposuction in use today. These two techniques are referred to as wet or tumescent techniques. The difference between these two techniques mostly involves the number of fluid that is placed in the targeted area before surgery begins. This fluid is used to reduce the amount of trauma and bruising that may affect the underlying tissues as a result of liposuction surgery.

After surgery, post-operative care tends to involve compression to the targeted area. Compression involves stretch garments that must be worn by the patient for up to three to six weeks after the surgery. In this post-operative period, a follow-up with a physician is necessary. Patients are advised to rest, and should not exercise in this period.

Once you have learned more about the procedure, you should decide if liposuction is right for you. First, ask yourself if you are interested in liposuction as a weight loss option. Is liposuction a viable weight loss option? The short answer is no. Liposuction should not be used as a weight loss treatment.

In general, liposuction is a body contour procedure, and should be treated as such. Liposuction is a surgical procedure that targets specific areas that have not responded to traditional weight loss measures. The best candidate for weight loss is someone who is at or very near their target weight, and it is not recommended for those seeking to lose more than ten pounds.

Many times, if you are set on liposuction, your doctor or surgeon may require you to lose weight before undergoing the procedure. Moreover, liposuction does not guarantee permanent weight loss. In order to maintain the final results, patients must follow a healthy diet and exercise regularly.

Also, although they are rare, complications have been known to result from liposuction surgery. Complications may include infection, puncturing of organs, embolism, swelling, burning, and scarring. If you are still interested in liposuction, make sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your specific concerns.

With the onslaught of TV reality weight loss shows like The Biggest Loser, people all across America are looking to look better and feel better in the process of losing weight. For some, weight loss is a lifelong battle while others are able to shed the pounds at an alarming rate. Even still, once a weight loss goal is achieved, people tend to end up with unsightly bulges in various portions of their body. More and more of these people in the Dallas area are turning to liposuction to remove these inadequate body features.

Interest in liposuction in Dallas Texas has been on a steady growth trend as people search for qualified liposuction surgeons in Dallas. Liposuction in Dallas, as well as many other areas of the United States, is becoming one of the most popular cosmetic procedures available on the market today. Should you decide to undertake a liposuction procedure, always select only Board-Certified liposuction surgeons if you want it done correctly and with safety being the utmost importance. You should only trust your body to these board-certified experienced professionals if you want to achieve your dreams of what you picture for your body.

You can rest assured that board certified Dallas liposuction surgeons have obtained all the necessary training and have met all the required standards to perform liposuction. They also work in well equipped offices that usually comprise some of the more technologically advanced equipment. Typically, liposuction procedures are performed right there on-site in the offices, however, some of these surgeons will even perform liposuction procedures in adjacent medical centers and specialized facilities that they participate in or own. One of the best “seals of truth”, so to speak, when looking for a liposuction surgeon is to see that the are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. All physicians have to start somewhere, but if I was to entrust someone with my body you’d better believe that I would want a well seasoned and experienced professional.

One way to check is to ask to see a portfolio of other liposuction procedures the surgeon has performed. This will allow you to see if the surgeon is competent to perform the liposuction procedure you desire as well as how your body features will compare to the procedures the surgeon has performed in the past. Also, it would be in your best interest to go over any testimonials that the surgeon might have on file. One thing to keep in mind though is you could probably expect that all the photo’s and testimonials will be in the surgeons favor so take them with a grain of salt.

An extremely crucial point to remember when looking for a liposuction surgeon is to talk to them precisely about all your goals for your body. If you don’t tell them everything that you are expecting to achieve with liposuction how can you expect to gain everything that you deserve out of a liposuction procedure. Not only will you benefit from knowledge gained in the exchange but as an end result your body will too.

Liposuction (lipoplasty) is particularly well-suited for women and men who are of relatively normal weight but have isolated pockets of fat that cause certain areas of their body to appear disproportionate. Liposuction (lipoplasty) is particularly well-suited for women and men who are of relatively normal weight but have isolated pockets of fat that cause certain areas of their body to appear disproportionate. Liposuction is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. Many patients become discouraged at having lost unwanted pounds without seeing a flatter abdomen.

Choosing a Liposuction Surgeon

Choosing a liposuction surgeon is a very important step in the decision to have liposuction surgery. Many factors are important when making this decision. One of the most important factors is the liposuction surgeon’s training and experience. Liposuction surgeons with the most training are the board-certified plastic surgeons who are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

How to Choose a Liposuction Surgeon

Before choosing a liposuction surgeon, you should learn as much as you can about the different practitioners in your area. You will want to ask lots of questions, view before and after photos of previous patients, and find out how many liposuction procedures the surgeon has performed in the past.

Technical description of liposuction surgery

The liposuction surgery consists of probe insertion to 1-3 side foramens, and fat aspiration by using the draw-lift pump. Inserted probes aspirate the released fat mechanically or ultrasonically. The aspirated region is determined in a standing position, but the surgery is performed in a supine position.

Liposuction carries greater risk for individuals with medical problems such as diabetes, significant heart or lung disease, poor blood circulation, or those who have recently had surgery near the area to be contoured. There are several types of liposuction procedures available, Tumescent liposuction involves the injection if a large amount of anesthetic into the area being treated. In ultrasonic assisted liposuction (UAL), sound waves are used to liquefy the fat before it is removed.

Modern liposuction techniques allow patients to remove larger amounts of excess fat, to help contour larger areas of the body. During your initial consultation, you can discuss with Doctors in the latest liposuction techniques, including syringe, tumescent, ultrasound (UAL), and Liposelection.

Are You an Ideal Candidate?

For the ideal candidate, liposuction has many benefits including improved physical appearance and self-esteem. The best candidates for liposuction procedures are individuals who are already at or around their target weight but who need help with areas of fat that don’t respond to diet or exercise

Doctors define a good candidate for liposuction as any person who has realistic expectations, is in good health and is likely to be happy with the results of liposuction. Liposuction is not a weight loss technique, or a solution for obesity. It is also not an effective treatment for cellulite, a condition that gives your skin an uneven, dimpled appearance. However, liposuction is a good procedure for to reduce fat deposits in your problem areas.

Health and Mindset

In terms of health, doctors recommend that you are within 25 lbs of your ideal body weight. Patients that are physically fit and exercise regularly, but just can’t tone or reduce fat in a few problems areas are some of the best candidates for liposuction. Some bulges are simply exercise-resistant, and liposuction may provide a solution. It is not recommended for patients with significant medical problems such as diabetes, heart or lung disease, or poor circulation. These conditions can increase your risk for surgical complications.

Both men and women can be excellent candidates for liposuction. Approximately 75% of patients are female and they most commonly have liposuction performed on the belly, the buttocks and thighs. In men the most common location for liposuction in men are the “love handles”. While it is not age is not a major consideration, it is important for older patients to realize that because of diminished skin elasticity, they may not be able to achieve the same results as younger patients with tighter skin. Patients over 40 must recognize that skin contraction is less likely and loose skin can result.

Remember that liposuction should be used in conjunction with a good diet and exercise, not as a substitute for them. Liposuction, like other cosmetic surgery techniques, is a means to enhance body shape. But it cannot completely change your shape. You should have realistic expectations that liposuction may improve the appearance of the treated area, but may have no impact on other areas of your life.

Liposuction Ain’t Cheap

Liposuction can be a difficult surgery to estimate cost. It can be performed on different parts of the body, using different machines and by surgeons with varying degrees of skill and experience.

The average cost to have liposuction performed in one area of the body is close to $4,000, in two to three areas up to $6,000 to $8,000 and in five areas is $8,000 to $11,000.The cost is higher for larger body areas. For example, the average cost for the abdomen is $4,000 to $8,000, but for the outer thigh is about half as much.

As with most plastic surgery liposuction cost comprises three fees: surgeon fees, anesthesia fees and facility fees. The anesthesia fees range can range $500 to $1,000, depending on the number of areas treated. The facility fees also vary depending on the number of areas where liposuction is performed, ranging from $600 to $1,200. The rest of the cost is the surgeon’s fee.

But don’t try to skimp on the surgeon’s fee by going with just anyone. It is important to choose a board-certified plastic surgeon from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, who has extensive liposuction experience, as well as expertise in all areas of plastic surgery. More highly, qualified, board-certified surgeons charge higher fees, but this also ensures you will see the best results using the most appropriate techniques and reduce the risk of complications. Although liposuction prices can be high, the costs to your health can be much greater, so be sure to ask your surgeon about surgical training and board certification.

Cosmetic surgery such as liposuction is never covered by insurance. But if the surgery is more than you can afford at one time, ask your plastic surgeon about payment plans. Most surgeons today offer financing.

Even though liposuction is considered cosmetic surgery it still has some of the same risks as any other type of surgery. A good Manhattan liposuction specialist can make all the difference in the outcome of your liposuction procedure. You want the best results possible and here are some tips for choosing the right Manhattan plastic surgeon.

Where – Lipsuction can be done in a variety of places, from a cosmetic surgeons office up to a major hospital. The right setting is important, but not nearly as important as the cosmetic surgeon doing the procedure.

What Cosmetic Surgeon – Honestly any doctor can perform liposuction, so make sure you’re working with aboard certified plastic surgeon for the very best results. There are no laws regarding the type of training that needs to be done prior to performing liposuction. Do your research and make sure that your cosmetic surgeon is both trained and experienced. They should have the knowledge and skills to ensure that your liposuction is successful.

The Cosmetic Surgeons Role – The cosmetic surgeon should do a complete evaluation prior to agreeing to accept you as a patient. This should include a review of your general health as well as your reasons for having liposuction. The doctor should inquire about any past medical history as well as any medications you may be taking currently. Naturally he will evaluate your current body fat percentage as well as the elasticity of your skin. Your cosmetic surgeon should then be able to make a determination of your best liposuction technique to ensure great results.

What to do if you choose the wrong doctor – Mistakes do occur, even to the most vigilant of us. There are a very low percentage of liposuction patients who have serious complications, but if you choose the wrong doctor your chances of a poor surgery increase dramatically. Even if you don’t have complications there is an increased chance that you’ll have a result you didn’t want and aren’t happy with.

Choosing the right liposuction surgeon – These are my 4 tips to choosing the right liposuction surgeon.

Check out the facilities that your cosmetic surgeon will be using for the liposuction procedure. They should be in good repair, clean and sanitary. Ask for a tour prior to the surgery. Any good plastic surgeon will be happy to show you the facilities and answer any questions you might have.

Educate yourself about liposuction. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should have a basic understanding of the different types of liposuction and how it works. This will also aid you in asking the right questions when searching for a liposuction specialist.

Don’t just pick the first plastic surgeon you talk to, take the time to speak with several before making a decision. If there are people that you trust who’ve already had liposuction or another plastic surgery get their opinion. Your primary care physician could be another good source of information about good plastic surgeons.

Research the doctor’s background and history. Make sure they are well trained and experienced and hopefully board certified to practice liposuction.

New York is a large diverse city and finding a great liposuction doctor should be easy. Just take your time when choosing a Manhattan liposuction surgeon and you shouldn’t have any trouble. Just keep in mind that you’re dealing with your health and appearance and you should be able to make a good decision.

Many people want to have liposuction. There is a reason why it is the most popular surgical procedure in 2005 based on ASAPS(American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery). On the flip side many of the same people are concerned with the pain, risks and recovery times associated with a surgical cosmetic procedure like liposuction. This is where the quest for a liposuction alternative begins. Are there really alternatives to liposuction that are both effective and safe?

Liposuction has been used in the world of body contouring and shaping since the 70s. The liposuction procedures work to remove fats from areas that can include:

* Abdomen

* Thighs

* Knees

* Hips

* Buttocks

* Chin

Liposuction comes with the customary risks associated with surgery. Some are minor but some major risks exist particularly when anesthesia is involved. Recovery time is also a consideration depending on where you are having the fat removed and how much your are having done. These concerns drive the need for a valid liposuction alternative.

The most basic and common sense liposuction alternative revolves around changing your lifestyle to a more healthy one. Diet and exercise are a fundamental part of fat reduction. Some people have the discipline and the guidance that allow them to succeed in this area but others tend to go so far and reach a peak when it comes to fat reduction. People concerned with certain areas of the body like the abdomen or the chin may find that they can’t lose that last bit of fat no matter how hard they exercise and how well they eat.

For people who really wish to get rid of excess fats without surgery, you have several options to choose from. You need to be advised though that the results may not be as instant as liposuction. They do help you to reduce pain, risks, recovery time and costs.

Some Available Liposuction Alternatives

Depending on the area involved your liposuction alternatives may vary. Some liposuction alternatives that we have found are:

1. Thermage

2. Lipodissolve

3. Mesotherapy

4. Liposelection

Mesotherapy and Liposelection appear to be better for the bigger parts of the body. While Thermage and Lipodissolve seem to work better for the face, neck and chin.

Thermage is a liposuction alternative that uses heated lasers to tighten the patient’s skin on different areas of the body as well as the face. This procedure is considered a pain-free liposuction alternative and has been a common alternative for face lifts.

Lipodissolve is a procedure where fats are flushed out through the urine. The areas with unwanted fat are injected with medications and enzymes, which causes fat to dissolve and to be flushed out. Lipodissolve and mesotherapy are similar but lipodissolve is the liposuction alternative that is recommenced for removing excess fats on the face, especially the neck and chin areas.

If you need to work other areas aside from the face, neck and chin, another liposuction alternative called mesotherapy can be your best bet. This procedure has been used for many years to reduce cellulite. Similar to lipodissolve a patient is injected with a combination of substances. In this case medications, holistic compounds and amino acids are used.

Liposelection is the last liposuction alternative we will discuss. This treatment works by filling the fatty areas with saline solution to restrict the patient’s blood flow while breaking the fat tissues. Ultrasound energy is transmitted into the area for softening the fats and then taken out using suction and massage. In some ways this sounds like Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction but is said to be less painful.

These liposuction alternatives are not yet approved and you should know that the only proven method of removing fat cells is liposuction. However, these alternatives could work for patients who require small treatments. There are more options that are popping up every day but you need to consider their safety. We’ve also noticed a trend in trying to brand certain procedures even though they are very similar to each other. Research each liposuction alternative carefully.

Liposuction was originally designed for body contouring. Liposuction is one of the commonest and most popular cosmetic procedures for removal of localised areas of fat. ****** liposuction is a youth-enhancing cosmetic procedure that is quickly becoming a popular choice among men and women alike. Some patients are genetically predisposed to carry excess fat in their jaw line, creating a jowl-ed appearance. Liposuction surgery is not a treatment for obesity. Liposuction surgery can be of many types such as, ****** liposuction and stomach liposuction. Liposuction Surgery should be thought of as a way of improving the contour and shape of the body rather than as an easy way of losing weight. ****** Liposuction may be done alone. In older patients, it may produce optimal results when combined with a facelift, browlift, eyelid or nose surgery. This surgical liposuction procedure may involve either an intra-oral or extra-oral incision.

Liposuction surgery is also referred to as lipoplasty or lip sculpture. Liposuction surgery in fact is a plastic surgery procedure which reshapes the body part by getting rid of unwanted fat by suction from specific fat pockets. ****** liposuction does present some possible risks to the patient and will be discussed prior to the operation. Asymmetry, hematoma, lumpiness, and numbness are possible. ****** liposuction in most cases is able to make a dramatic change in the way a person looks by removing the excess fat from under the cheeks, chin and neck. ****** and neck liposuction is an effective liposuction procedure for removing localized fatty deposits in the undersurface of the neck area and the neck region. It is also effective in region in front of the ears. Some persons are at higher risk of complications due to liposuction surgery.

A pregnant woman must never resort to liposuction surgery. One thing most prospective patients should know is that liposuction is a real medical procedure. It requires incisions and sutures, and a lengthy recovery time. Many people confuse liposuction with a tummy tuck. However, these are not the same procedure. Sometimes they go together, but lipo is the more popular alternative in today’s culture. ****** liposuction surgery is an excellent procedure that can benefit those who want to remove unsightly fat deposits from localized areas of the face. This technique can be performed in a specially equipped doctor’s office using local anesthesia and the recovery is usually rapid. Microcannalicular liposuction is an outpatient procedure performed through tiny incisions under the jaw line or at the bottom of the ear. Patients are generally quite comfortable as they recover at home with a ****** bandage under the chin to provide mild compression.

Liposuction Philippines

Despite good health and a reasonable level of fitness, some people may still have body profile with disproportionate contours that is due to localized fat deposits. These patients are not happy or pleased with their body contour and may have body disproportionality. Our body fat deposits are affected by multiple factors; this can be due to changes in hormone level that slows down the body metabolism, stress and psychological behavior that may increase our oral intake of nutrients beyond our need and genetic characteristics of an individual that may predispose them to overweight or obesity.

Suction Assisted Lipectomy or commonly known as Liposuction is a procedure that slims, reshapes, contours and restore body proportion thus, enhancing self-image of the patient. Liposuction is a surgical aspiration of fat under the skin leaving a more pleasing contour and smooth transition between regions of the body. Liposuction is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures worldwide by certified cosmetic plastic surgeons.

There are several kinds or techniques to perform a liposuction procedure. The three most commonly performed techniques are the tumescent or superwet liposuction, Ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty and Laser or SMART Liposuction. The tumescent or super-wet technique requires an infusion of saline solution mixed with adrenaline to facilitate the aspiration or removal of excess fat. Ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty uses ultrasonic energy that liquefies the fat prior to surgical suctioning. While Laser or SMART liposuction is quite similar with ultrasound assisted technique in which fats is initially dissolve and then aspirated. There was a sudden increase in demand for SMART/Laser liposuction and Ultrasound lipoplasty when this was introduced in the market because it was believed to have more superior results than the traditional method. However, in our experience, the advantage that Laser Liposuction offers patients are improved pain control after surgery and body swelling is significantly less compared to the traditional tumescent technique. With regards to the result, all the 3 techniques are just the same. There is no superiority of one method over the other in attaining a pleasing body contour.

Liposuction is more of an art than just a surgical procedure. This procedure demands a good grasp of anatomy and body proportionality. This is why liposuction is better termed as liposculpturing. The body parts or areas of the body that can be treated by liposuction are the abdomen, flanks or love handle, hips and buttocks, upper and lower back, arms, axilla or armpit (for treatment of hyperhydrosis), thighs and knees, chin and chest area (specially for gynecomastia). The procedure is done by aspirating the subcutaneous fats with the use of a metal pen like liposuction cannulas through a small skin incision. This small incision is placed at the natural folds of the body so that the resulting scar will be concealed or inconspicuous.

This is performed as an outpatient procedure in a fully equipped ambulatory surgical facility. But patients with multiple procedure or prefer to relax immediately after the surgery, will be admitted for a day or two. Wether the procedure will be performed as an Out-Patient or as a hospital procedure, preoperative laboratory and medical clearance (For patient 40 y/o and above, Medical condition that required treatment) is required. This is done a day before the surgery. The procedure can be performed either under local anesthesia or deep sedation depending on the extent of the procedure. After the procedure, incision site will soak for 2 to 3 days and eventually dries on the 4th to 5th day. All patients are instructed to strictly apply or wear pressure garments for 2 to 3 weeks at all body parts addressed by liposuction. The pressure garment will help the skin redrape to underlying muscles thus obliterating the space left after aspirating the fat and also control the swelling. This will assist and enhance the healing process. Sutures are removed on the 7th or 9th day after surgery.

Patients are always advised that there will be swelling and some bruising after the surgery. This is temporary and may resolve after 1 to 2 weeks. The initial result may be noted after 2 to 4 weeks since much of the swelling had subsided. However, the final result will be appreciated by the 2nd to 6th month after surgery.

Patients planning to have this procedure will be required to allot 8 to 14 days for the initial consultation, laboratory, medical clearance, surgery, follow up, suture removal and early recuperation. After this, the patient is safe to travel since all wounds are already dry and healed.

Possible risks and complications:

Uneven contours

Rippling or loose skin

Skin or nerve damage

Irregular pigmentation

Infection

Fat clots

Blood clots

Excessive fluid loss or fluid accumulation

Unfavorable scarring

Thermal burn or heat injury from ultrasound with the ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty technique

Anesthesia risks

Bleeding (hematoma)

Change in skin sensation

Skin discoloration or swelling

Asymmetry

Pain, which may persist

Damage to deeper structures such as nerves, blood vessels, muscles, lungs, and abdominal organs

Poor wound healing

You are very lucky if you have waited until now to consider having liposuction, or liposculpture body contouring. The new laser liposuction techniques are a vast improvement over traditional methods. The new laser technology melts fat and tightens skin resulting in a much gentler liposculpture procedure and minimal loose hanging skin after liposuction.

Whether you have a double chin, tummy fat after childbirth, saddle bags, spare tire, or just little problem areas around the hips or thighs, the new laser assisted liposculpture and laser body contouring techniques may be what you are looking for.

Not all of the machines in use are the same. Some laser wavelengths, such as the 924nm and 924/975nm work much better than others. You need to understand which technology is best if you are considering laser liposuction.

Liposuction is the most commonly performed plastic surgery operation.

Problems Associated with Traditional Liposuction-Traditional liposuction is done by inserting a metal tube called a cannula beneath the skin into fat containing areas of the body. High pressure suction is applied and fat is suctioned out from under the skin. While the procedure works well, it is traumatic as the suction pulls out not only fat but also some of the connective tissue which holds the skin tight to the body. There are several problems which can occur after liposuction:

• Loose Skin After Liposuction

• Contour Deformities-Skin Irregularities

• Prolonged Bruising

• Difficult and Painful Recovery

How Laser Liposuction Works-During laser assisted liposuction, a very small laser fiber is inserted beneath the skin. Heat from the laser melts the fat into a thin liquid. The liquid fat is then more easily removed with very small cannulas usually only2-3 millimeters in diameter. The heat form the laser also tightens the skin, and closes many blood vessels, thus less bleeding.

Advantages of Laser Liposuction

• Skin Tightening!!!!!!!

• Liquefaction of Fat = Fewer Contour Deformities

• Uniform Skin Appearance after Liposuction

• Smaller Cannulae = Tiny Incision

• Much Less Traumatic

• Can Contour Visible Areas in Thinner Patients

• Excellent for Touch Ups after standard Liposuction

Which Laser is best for Liposuction?

There are several different machines available using several different laser wavelengths-the 924nm, combined 924/975nm, the 1064nm, and the 1308nm are the most popular.

I prefer the 924nm and combination 924/975nm laser because the 924nm is very selectively absorbed by fat tissue. The 924nm liquefies 3 times as much fat as some of the other wavelengths and is also more strongly absorbed by blood vessels, which helps reduce bleeding and bruising.

The 924nm and combined 924/975nm laser is used by the SlimLipo™ laser liposuction machine made by Palomar Medical™.

Are You A Candidate for Laser Liposuction?

If you are healthy, do not smoke, and have extra fat beneath your chin, around your tummy, on your hips, thighs, arms or knees, and are relatively fit and not obese, then you are likely an excellent candidate for laser liposuction. The younger you are the better your skin tightening will be after laser liposuction. I have, however, seen good skin tightening after laser liposuction in a 70 year old person-see photo below:

If you are obese and significantly over weight, you should lose weight first before liposuction.

A good candidate for liposuction should have realistic expectations about the results of this procedure as well as these basic qualities: Average or slightly above-average weight, firm, elastic skin good overall health, concentrated pockets of fat that do not respond well to diet and exercise

What Do I Need To Know Before Undergoing Liposuction?

During an initial consultation your plastic surgeon will evaluated your health, assess the condition of your skin, and discuss the options that are best for you. Body contouring methods that are appropriate for your particular situation, the effectiveness and safety of the procedure, and your expectations will be discussed in detail.

Once you have decided to undergo liposuction, your plastic surgeon will give you the necessary instructions that you will need to prepare for the surgery.

How Is Liposuction Performed?

In general, liposuction procedures use small incisions in selected areas and with a high vacuum suction device attached to a small, stainless steel instrument called a cannula, remove fat cells. After the fat is removed, sutures (stitches) will be used to close the incisions, followed by the application of a dressing and compression garment (girdle) to minimize the post-operative swelling.

Are There Different Liposuction Techniques?

Though the basics of liposuction remain the same, there are different techniques that can be used during liposuction. “Tumescent Liposuction” During this technique the plastic surgeon will inject a medicated solution into the fatty areas before the fat is removed. The solution is a mixture of intravenous salt water, a local anesthetic (lidocaine) and a drug that contracts the blood vessels (epinephrine).

This fluid injection helps the fat to be removed more easily, reduces blood loss and bruising after surgery, and provides anesthesia during and after the surgery. The amount of fluid injected varies and depends on the preference of the surgeon. “Ultrasound-Assisted Lipoplasty (UAL) This technique requires the use of a special cannula that produces ultrasonic energy. As the ultrasonic energy passes through the areas of fat it causes the fat cells to liquefy. The fat is then removed with the traditional liposuction technique.

Because the fat is liquid at the time that it is removed, UAL is smoother and mechanically more efficient. UAL also minimizes trauma, resulting in less bruising and blood loss and especially improves the ease and effectiveness of liposuction in fibrous areas of the body.

What Are The Risks And Complications Of Liposuction?

Undergoing any surgical procedure may involve the risk of complications such as the effects of anesthesia, infection, swelling, bleeding, and pain. Liposuction is normally safe and with minimal risks and possible complications when patients are carefully selected, the operating facility is properly equipped, and the physician is adequately trained.

Liposuction is the most frequently performed cosmetic surgical procedure and has a very good safety record when performed in accordance with the recommendations of the Lipoplasty Society.

What Type Of Anesthesia Is Required When Having Liposuction?

Various types of anesthesia can be used for liposuction procedures. If a small of amount of fat is being removed from a limited number of areas local anesthesia with a light sedative to make you feel drowsy and relaxed may be considered. When treating larger areas, general anesthesia is typically used causing you to be asleep during the procedure. Together, you and surgeon will select the type of anesthesia that provides the most safe and effective level of comfort for your surgery.

On What Areas Of The Body Can Liposuction Be Done?

Common locations for liposuction include the chin, cheeks, neck, upper arms, abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs, knees, calves, and ankles.

Can Liposuction Be Done On More Than One Area At The Same Time?

Liposuction can be done on more than one area at the same time if the amount of fat removed does not exceed the recommended amount within the limits of safety.

How Long Is Recovery After Liposuction?

Every person’s outcome will vary based on factors such as volume of fat cells removed and area/s of removal. Under most circumstances, liposuction is an outpatient procedure. Depending on the areas treated, most people are able to return to work within a few days to a week and to most normal activities within two to three weeks.

Immediately, after surgery, it is necessary to continuously wear a support garment for three to four weeks. Bruising, swelling and soreness can be expected for at least a few weeks.

Are The Results Of Liposuction Permanent?

Liposuction may be performed in a surgeon’s office-based facility, in an outpatient surgery center, or in a hospital. Smaller-volume liposuction is usually done on an outpatient basis for reasons of cost and convenience. If a large volume of fat will be removed, or if the liposuction is being performed in conjunction with other procedures, a stay in a hospital or overnight nursing facility may be required.

How Long Does Liposuction Take?

The time to perform liposuction may vary considerably, generally requiring between one to four hours, depending on the size of area, the amount of fat being removed, the type of anesthesia and the technique being used.

How Do I Prepare For Liposuction?

Prior to your surgical procedure, your surgeon will perform a complete health history and physical examination to evaluate your overall weight, your skin and muscle tone and overall distribution of fat deposits. Knowledge of your allergies, medications and previous surgeries should be brought to your surgeon’s attention at this time. Specific instructions to assist you in preparing for this procedure will be given to you after the health history and physical are complete.

Instructions will be given that include guidelines regarding your diet, alcohol intake, smoking and which medications to take and avoid. You should also make arrangements ahead of time for someone to drive you to and from your procedure and to assist you with your daily activities during your recovery period.

What Can I Expect After My Liposuction Procedure?

Don’t expect to feel or to look great following your surgery. Even though the newer techniques are believed to reduce post-operative discomforts, you may still experience some pain, burning, swelling, bleeding and temporary numbness. You will be wearing a snug elastic garment over the treated areas to control swelling and bruising immediately following your surgery.

You may also experience some drainage from the incisions sites for a day or two following surgery. Pain can be controlled with medicates prescribed by your plastic surgeon, though you still may feel stiff and sore for several days.

When Can I Resume My Normal Activities?

Healing following liposuction is usually gradual. You will be encouraged to start walking around as soon as possible to reduce swelling and to prevent any possible blood clot from forming in your legs. You usually are able to return to work within a few days and will begin to feel progressively better over the next two weeks.

Strenuous activity should be avoided for about a month as your body continues to heal. Although most of the swelling and bruising usually resolve in the first four to six weeks, final results of surgery may not be fully realized for six months or longer after surgery.

How Is The Cost Of Liposuction Determined?

The cost of liposuction is determined by several factors: In what geographic area do you live? Anesthesiologist and plastic surgeons fees? Where will your surgery be done, in the hospital, surgery center, or office? The number of areas requiring liposuction? An exact quote will be given at the conclusion of your consultation with a plastic surgeon following examination and evaluation.

Can I have more than one area treated at the same time?

Yes, more than one area can be injected at the same time.

By: Dave Stringham

About the Author:

Depending on whether you believe the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) or the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), liposuction is either the most popular or the second most popular form of plastic surgery, after ****** augmentation. What makes liposuction so popular? Liposuction is popular because it targets the fundamental elements of the aesthetic form of the body, making it both effective and universally applicable.

The Rare Human Body

The human body has a number of unusual features. Not only does it feature the commonly- praised large brain and the opposable thumb that are ostensibly responsible for our evolutionary rise from animals to civilized beings, but it has another less commonly praised anomalous structure: a layer of subcutaneous fat which is currently shared by only one other class of terrestrial mammals: pigs. This layer of fat, partly responsible for the wick effect that is behind so-called “Spontaneous Human Combustion,” is shared by many aquatic mammals (although in them it is called “blubber”), leading some evolutionary theorists to postulate for an aquatic phase in human evolution that would also account for the relative hairlessness of the human body.

However, despite the oft-touted affinity of the human baby for water, it is more likely that the subcutaneous layer of fat has another purpose in common with hairlessness: it is aesthetic in purpose. The subcutaneous layer of fat gives shape and softness to the human body, a cushion for the visible and tactile surface that makes humans attractive to one another. Because this subcutaneous layer of fat is specifically there to make us look good, liposuction, which targets this layer of fat, becomes a key element in what is known as body contouring, the shaping of the body. In liposuction, a narrow tube, or cannula, is inserted into the fat layer, then suction is used to remove fat through the tube.

Universal Applicability

Nearly every cosmetic surgical procedure that is performed today can be enhanced or accented with the use of liposuction. In the face, a facelift or necklift can either be enhanced or even replaced with a liposuction, which can provide proper definition for a neck area in which fat has accumulated, leading to a poor definition of the jawline and chin. The aesthetic effect of a ****** augmentation can be enhanced by the reduction of fat deposits in the abdominal area, and any tummy tuck procedure would most likely provide incomplete results without some measure of liposuction. Liposuction can be used on the arms, the legs, the upper and lower back, the flanks, virtually everywhere. The majority of cosmetic surgeons will not use it on a woman’s breasts, although they do use it for the reduction of swollen ******* (Gynecomastia) in men.

Diverse Techniques

Liposuction is also not a single, unified field of practice. There are many different forms of liposuction available, including:

· Traditional liposuction, which is performed as above

· Tumescent liposuction, in which the area to be treated is injected with a high amount of fluid intended to make the procedure more effective with less ancillary tissue damage

· Power-assisted liposuction, in which a moving gouge on the end of the cannula breaks up the fatty tissue, making the procedure faster

· Ultrasonic liposuction, in which ultrasound is used to cause the fat cells to burst, ideally removing fat preferentially without doing too much damage to surrounding tissues

· Laser-assisted liposuction, in which a laser is used to burst fat cells during suction

All these liposuction techniques are designed to perform some parts of the liposuction process better, whether the removal of fat, or the minimizing of damage to surrounding tissues, or the speed of the procedure. While all liposuction will lead to you experiencing some pain and needing downtime for recovery, the type of procedure and your doctor’s technique can make a big difference in the area. Before working with any plastic surgeon, talk to former patients about their experience in terms of not only the effectiveness of the procedure (which can be seen in before and after pictures), but also about the patients’ experiences with the doctor and with recovery.

By: Patricia Woloch

About the Author:

Liposuction and Surgery in the Philippines

In the industry of liposuction in the Philippines, very few licensed Filipino cosmetic surgeons specializing in hi-definition vaser liposuction surgery offer their services locally. Most of them go abroad or serve other nationalities from other countries for a higher income. On the other hand, this incident proves that surgery and liposuction in the Philippines is relatively very low contributing to the increase in getting surgery services as well as liposuction. Since there are different cosmetic surgery services with each having their own varying prices, I decided to make this article and help those who are looking for the right service and the right professionals in the field of cosmetic surgery and liposuction in the Philippines.

Common Liposuction and Surgery Services

To start off, allow me to list below some of the most popular services that one can avail regarding services of a professional and licensed cosmetic surgery for men and women. Also for your information and guidance, the process involved in surgery has a general procedure and technique called as body contouring. This is a standard general term used for such services while on the other hand there is a lot of varying cosmetic surgery prices corresponding with each type of service.

Common ****** Surgery Services

As an initial tip, before undergoing any treatment or surgery in our breast, please be advised that you have to check for qualifications of your physician in terms of standards as well as have an initial check up of your personal condition. In the case of the different plastic surgery and surgeons in the Philippines, they have to possess professional license as well as know about the latest technology in their profession. This will serve as a strong indication that your surgeon is just what you are looking for. Just FYI, the latest technology in liposuction in the Philippines offered by licensed cosmetic surgeons is called as vaser liposuction and liposelection. Also you should first know the risks and know it outright by asking for an initial result analysis on your pre-surgery checkup.

breast augmentation ****** lift ****** liposuction ****** reduction ****** enhancement gynecomastia treatment using vaser technology

Common Face Lift Service

upper eyelid surgery or eye deepsetting or double eyelid creation eyebags removal noselift or rhinoplasty facelift and browlift wrinkle removal freckle removal

Basic Qualifications of a Cosmetic Surgeon in the Philippines

cosmetic surgery license board certified liposuction surgery professional or board-eligible plastic surgeon member of duly recognized cosmetic surgeons association in the Philippines must have at least attended 5-6 years of formal training in cosmetic surgery in an accredited and duly recognized hospital in the Philippines years of practice, credentials and experience as a whole must at least possess hospital privileges consultation treatment and analysis of results must be well defined and conclusive clinics attended and hospitals served

Vaser Liposelection in the Philippines

The latest technology used by most plastic surgeons and liposuction professionals in the Philippines is called as Vaser Liposelection. This procedure is today’s most advance fat-removal technology in the liposuction and cosmetic surgery Philippines. This procedure is also a patented trademark used to remove all sorts of fats in the body of a person. It involves various body parts such as stomach, waist, buttocks, breasts, hips, knees, chest, neck, chin, back, arms, thighs and ankle. This technology is a selective procedure that allows the surgeon to select tissues to remove unwanted fat cells with the use of ultrasonic technology.

Aside from this latest liposuction technology being proven effective and skillfully advisable today by most surgeons compared to the traditional surgery methods, it is now widely recognized by all professional surgeons and liposuction professional in the Philippines. Using this technique also offer less pain as well as bruises and is also proven to offer a much faster recovery time for the patient. This is because the incision made by the surgeon with this process is literally smaller so they heal quickly than any other types of surgery. Vaser liposelection is also good in body contouring and sculpting which is offered for those who already have good body form but would like to enhance it more.

How Much Does Surgery Cost and Can You Afford It?

How much does a liposuction or a surgery cost? This is usually the first question asked by those who are interested to seek services on liposuction or surgery in the Philippines or anywhere in the world. My personal opinion is that if you are to have a procedure done in the United States ore anywhere in the world, it is more likely that it will cost you more than it would if you have it done in the Philippines. The reasons is pretty easy to understand and almost no need for further explanation, however, if your basis of having a job done for you on such a sensitive matter, your choices should not be influenced by the PRICE but instead it should be based on the surgeon who will do the job. In this case, to arrive with excellent results, try to consider the different qualifications I have listed above. I’m pretty sure that it will do you best if you really want to look good and feel good with the use of liposuction or surgery in the Philippines.

Advancements in methods of fat removal by liposuction continue to change and be improved. One of the most noteworthy methods that is currently marketed and touted is laser liposuction, or more accurately, laser-assisted liposuction.

As opposed to the traditional technique of a hollowed-out cannula insertion, loosening and beating up the fat tissue, and then ******* it out, this mechanical particulation is replaced by the heat of laser energy. Inside the liposuction cannula, fibers carrying laser light deliver their heat to the targeted fat breaking it down into a liquid ‘soup’ which can be suctioned out. Theoretically, the skin in the areas overlying where the liposuction was done may get tighter due to the heat from the laser.

As of this date, there are three such laser-assisted liposuction systems available in the United States. They are under the marketed tradenames of SMARTLIPO (Cynosure), COOLLIPO (CoolTouch), and PROLIPO (Sctiton). All of them tout more effective and efficient fat removal, less bruising and swelling after the procedure, a faster recovery, and some skin tightening and improvement in the appearance of cellulite over the treated areas.

The real question is….are they truly better than basic liposuction…and are their increased costs over traditional liposuction worth it? (someone has to pay for the equipment purchase…and that someone is you the patient!) To date, laser-assisted liposuction is tremendously appealing, particularly to the general public. In the past, any medical treatment that included the word, laser, always enamors the public. No clinical trials have yet been reported however, that I have seen, that have ever directly compared any laser-assisted vs traditional liposuction procedure in patients. No clinical trial, large or small, has yet been done that has compared the results of any touted liposuction method in a prospective, controlled clinical study. FDA approval of these devices implies that they are safe for patient use but that does not mean they are necessarily more effective than other liposuction methods.

Much like ultrasonic-assisted liposuction when it was introduced 10 years ago, laser-assisted liposuction may be a popular trend that, in the end, will fare no better. It will undoubtably have its place in liposuction options and armamentarium but I doubt if it is magic or whether it offers a quantum leap forward in patient outcomes and recovery times. While it is another method of removing fat, I remain skeptical if all of the marketing claims of laser-assisted liposuction such as a quicker recovery and skin tightening can live up to the hype.

I am all for any form of advancement in liposuction, which is a fairly traumatic procedure on the tissues. While effective, liposuction is still one of the most ‘brutal’ procedures that we as plastic surgeons do. Is laser-assted liposuction a better method of liposuction?…..ask me again in 5 years!

By: Dr Barry Eppley

About the Author:

Liposuction is a surgical procedure performed by plastic surgeons and is used to remove fatty deposits from areas of the body which have not responded to attempts at weight loss and exercise.

While liposuction is never an alternative to losing weight or exercising, it can be a wonderful complement for areas for which weight loss and exercise have not corrected them to an acceptable level.

Liposuction can be performed on most anywhere on the human body where there are fat deposits. Let’s take a quick look at some of the most popular liposuction options available to you today:

Facial Liposuction

If you have a lot of fat around your eyes, in your cheeks or in your chin area, liposuction can be done to remove it. Oftentimes, liposuction is part of an eye lift or face lift. In addition it can be used to remove a double chin which has been caused by aging, especially in men.

Chest Liposuction

Liposuction procedures of the chest are commonly performed on men. Often men have excess fat on their chest area, especially as they age, which exercise and diet alone cannot remove.

Once a man is down to his ideal weight and is exercising regularly with a nice muscle build-up, liposuction can remove the excess fat and greatly improve the look of his chest area.

Abdominal Liposuction

Abdominal liposuction can be used to remove those stubborn fat deposits which cannot be worked off though abdominal exercises. Once a man or a woman has done all they can for the area through exercise and diet, a bit of liposuction can make a world of difference in how the abdominal area looks.

Back and Side Liposuction

One thing that comes with age is fat deposits on the back and sides of your body. While many areas of the body can be exercised well, the back and “love handle” areas are two which are had to control through exercise alone. Removal of love handles and back fat are two of the most popular liposuction procedures performed today.

Arm Liposuction

As we age, especially women, our upper arms can begin to become loose and floppy. Liposuction can help to reduce the fat in this area quiet well and extra procedures can assist in removing the excess skin of the area to being arms back to their youthful appearance of the past.

Buttocks Liposuction

Once the buttocks have been worked regularly through exercise, and your ideal weight has been reached through a proper diet, liposuction of the buttock region can be used to remove cellulite and other stubborn fat deposits.

Leg and Knee Liposuction

One of the most common places to have liposuction today is on the inner thighs and knees. Fat deposits on the inner thighs can be particularly stubborn and to really get a good contour on the body, liposuction can be used to remove that fat. In addition, as we age we often collect fat on our knee area. Liposuction can remove knee fat and help your legs to look much slimmer and better shaped.

As you can clearly see, liposuction can be performed on many areas of the human body. To decide if liposuction is right for you, schedule a consultation appointment with a Board Certified plastic surgeon in your area.

By: Abigail Aaronson

About the Author:

by Dr Taylor Cromish

We all seem to have less time nowadays for anything but work and it shows as we are all getting fatter. Fortunately liposuction is available as an aid to shifting some those unsightly lumps of fat.

Weight gain and fat distribution is different between men and women. Men tend to grow a large belly and women find the hips and thighs to be the problem areas. Fortunately liposuction can be used to reduce your fat and smooth out your appearance.

The bad news of course is that liposuction isnt the answer to losing weight and being thin. Its part of the solution along with sensible eating and a bit more exercise.

Liposuction? Tell me more

When you have liposuction fat is removed from your body. It is possible for most bits of your body to be liposuctioned but your tummy, thighs, back, neck and knees are the commonest areas.

You cannot have too much fat removed during the operation without risking serious problems and several days unwell in hospital. Surgeons know and recognise this and tens of thousands of patients have liposuction and are very happy.

To prevent these problems surgeons limit how much fat they remove at each operation. Fortunately surgical know how gets better all the time so at your consultation your surgeon will outline both your options and the limits.

Will I need to stay in hospital?

Overnight stays are getting less common as procedures improve. Other cosmetic procedures performed at the same time as liposuction may need an overnight stay.

Will I need an anesthetic?

Tumescent liposuction uses local anesthetic, which minimises your pain and enables you to simply have some sedation rather than a full general anesthetic. As a bonus, the sedation will probably stop you remembering much about your operation.

Liposuction – a safe procedure?

The risk of complications following liposuction is very low so it is a safe procedure. Trained and skilful surgeons, professional staff and modern techniques are your best defence against problems.

Can I have liposuction more than once?

Liposuction can be carried out several times especially on different areas of the body. You would need time to fully heal from one surgery before the next. Have a talk with your cosmetic surgeon and he or she will be able to give you a timescale, but it is better to avoid repeat operations.

For the very good reason that it works, liposuction is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery operations. In the right hands it is the answer to all those areas where the fat just will not go.

Before we purchase any product or services, we would always shop around for the best bargain. Selecting an establishment to perform any kind of plastic surgery is just the same. Regardless of the type of surgery that you wish to undertake, you would be surprise to discover the price gap between different hospitals and private practices in your state or within your country.

Unlike other services, a highly inflated price tag for plastic surgery does not necessary translates to a getting a better surgeon or a higher level or hospitality. A lot of the time, the higher per price tag merely reflects the higher standards of living and expenses in that particular area.

Liposuction, unlike many form of refined plastic surgery, is a type of surgery that can be safely performed by any qualified doctor. If you are planning to go for some complicated facial reconstruction surgery, you may want to get some referrals from friends and other patients before you make your decision.

Liposuction on the other hand is a fairly simple procedure that merely involves the removal of fat tissues for certain parts of your body. There are many qualified surgeons in the country that can perform this surgery competently so you can afford to shop around for the best bargain.

The best way to get an accurate price quote for your liposuction surgery is to have a consultation with the doctor. After a consultation, the doctor would be able to give you an accurate quote on how much the procedure would cost. You can make several appointments with several doctors in some hospitals near you before you make your decision.

There are many factors that can influence the price of the procedure. The reputation of the doctors is one of the main influences when it comes to the price. Experienced and reputable doctors usually charge much more than newcomers. The type of facilities provided in the hospital would also greatly influence the price.

Depending on the area where you want the excess fat to be removed, the average price of a liposuction procedure on one area is $3500. Prices can go as low as $1500 and as high as $8000 depending on the various factors above.

by Dr. Ian Jones

Selston Cosmetic Clinic is one of the first clinics in the United Kingdom to offer the vaser lipo surgery procedure. Regarded as the gentlest and most powerful form of liposuction available today, it gives outstanding results internationally and is the latest form of liposuction available. Ultrasound energy is used to break up fat while leaving the veins, nerves, blood vessels and surrounding tissue untouched.

By using this approach the results are far smoother than more traditional liposuction techniques and result in far less swelling and bruising. As a result, recovery times are shorter. The area women usually request work on are abdomens, hips and inner thighs. Men usually request work on reducing unsightly breasts.

The approach allows medical people to use greater precision in their surgery and achieve delicate restructuring not otherwise achievable. The fast is melted or disssolved and then remvong it ueinsg cannulas. This allows surgeons to be more selective than liposuction methods, and offers faster patient recovery.

The patented Vaser Lipo Liposelection technology efficiently breaks up fat with diffuse ultrasound energy. The energy is delivered using small, solid, grooved probes. The liquefied fat is then removed with suction and massage using tiny cannalue designed to give minimal tissue trauma.

Vaser energy used in the process, dissolves unwanted body fat cells and does not affect normal healthy tissue such as nerves and blood vessels. It is performed under a locasl anaesthetic.

It is to be expected that there will be swelling for about 7 days and as it subsides, slow improvement over the next 6 months, as the skin grows and tightens. If the procedure is performed on Friday, you could be back at work on Monday. Light exercise is encouraged as general health and fitness helps the body heal faster.

In an independent study, patients having had the procedure, experience very few complications such as chnaged skin sensation, skin induration, skin necrosis, prolonged swelling or skin burns compared with other techniques..

So the choice of method does depend on how much fat the patient wants removed and vaser lipo can extract more in one procedure. However there is a limit to the volume that can be extracted.

Where to go for Manhattan Liposuction

The Manhattan, New York area is very popular for all cosmetic procedures, but especially for liposuction. Now if you want to go through with Manhattan liposuction, of course you are going to want to make sure that you go to the best facility possible. In that case, here are a few that you are going to want to seriously consider if you want to get Manhattan liposuction.

Dr Zevon

One place that you can head to if you want to get liposuction in the Manhattan area is Dr Zevon’s. They talk you through the whole process, to make sure that you know which procedure you want to get and that you are completely sure that you want to go through with it. The doctor is well trained and experienced and you can feel safe in his hands.

Of all the Manhattan liposuction facilities, this is definitely one of the very best, and one that you will want to think about. You can even select personal questions to be directed to the doctor before you even meet him, for his personal attention. You then go in for a consultation with the doctor, and you can bring other questions that are very important to you and which you want to have answered before the procedure.

David P. Rapaport

Another Manhattan liposuction facility that you may want to go to is that of David P. Rapaport. This is a board-certified plastic surgeon who you know that you can trust in. They understand that today liposuction is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures and so they ensure that they offer all these sorts of services that you would be interested in.

Here the doctor performs all liposuction using the tumescent technique, which has become, according to experts, the new gold standard in liposuction. This technique involves the injection of a dilute solution of lidocaine and epinephrine prior to performing the actual suctioning of the fatty tissue.

If you are considering having liposuction or are sure that you want to go through with this procedure, just make sure that you go to the right Manhattan liposuction facility. This way you have less to worry about, and ensure that the procedure is going to go smoothly and there will be nothing to worry about. Knowing that you are in skilled hands is very important, and will make you feel more comfortable and relaxed.

Make sure that the surgeon who will be performing your surgery is board-certified and qualified to handle it.

Ultrasonic Liposuction Dallas

Going for ultrasonic liposuction in Dallas, well then you are going to need to be aware of the different places that you can head. After all, as with any other location in the world, there are going to be certain facilities that are going to be better than others, and obviously when it comes to something as major as plastic surgery, you want to make sure that you only go with the very best.

Plastic surgery is not something that you want to mess around with, and you want to make sure that you are only dealing with the best, most skilled and experienced people.

Your Options

Getting ultrasonic liposuction in Dallas is a great option, and may be just what you need to get feeling better about yourself and like the way that you look. Everyone should have confidence and feel good about themselves, and you can too when you go through with ultrasonic liposuction in Dallas.

One facility for ultrasonic liposuction in Dallas is the Plastic Surgery Center of Dallas. Here they offer not only liposuction but all the other most commonly performed cosmetic procedures as well, and at a great price. Even more importantly, they ensure that you are treated well and they have only the best, board-certified, qualified surgeons who will be working on you.

Whether you want to get liposuction or any other cosmetic procedure such as a browlift, nose reshaping, lip enhancement, or even computer imaging, they really offer it all here.

Or there is the Devour Beauty center for ultrasonic liposuction in Dallas that you may be interested in becoming more familiar with. They offer all of the most popular procedure, and whether you are looking to have liposuction only or liposuction and another cosmetic procedure at the same time, they will help you to look the way that you desire. They want you to feel beautiful and feel good about yourself, and they will definitely help you achieve this.

Keep in mind that ultrasonic liposuction in Dallas is certainly not your only option, and people have the liposuction procedure performed in areas all around the world. Just make sure that you are dealing with an experienced, skilled plastic surgeon. You really don’t want to go with a plastic surgeon who has only been in the business for a short period of time.

Choosing to Use Ultrasonic Liposuction

There is a debate in the plastic surgery world as to which liposuction technique is the best to use. There are some who are proponents for tumescent liposuction, saying that it is the safest surgical procedure and the easiest to recovery from. There are others who promote ultrasonic liposuction as the best technique, saying it is easier to get a better body shape for the results after the liposuction, as well as still having a decent recovery time.

Types of Procedures

Those doctor’s who promote tumescent liposuction say that it has the least amount of blood lost during the procedure which is the safest for the patient. In addition, the patient does not have to be put to sleep for the procedure; they can use the local anesthetic that is injected into the fat as the anesthetic for the procedure. Tumescent liposuction involves the doctors pumping large quantities of a local anesthetic and a capillary constrictor into the fat of the area to be liposuctioned. This allows the fat to become firm and easy to work with, so that it can be suctioned out of the body and the body re-shaped. Since there is a capillary constrictor used, the capillaries are smaller which allows for less blood loss during and after the procedure is over. In addition, it is always better if the patient is not put to sleep, which can in itself lead to complications. Recovery time for tumescent liposuction is a couple of weeks where the individual must wear a body compression suit so that the body can reform and heal, retaining the new shape.

Ultrasonic liposuction uses some of the same techniques as tumescent liposuction initially. Ultrasonic liposuction begins with making the fat firm through the same technique used in tumescent liposuction. Once the fat in the area to be liposuctioned is hardened, a metal rod is inserted into the fat which emits an ultrasonic frequency that heats up and liquefies the fat. This makes the fat easier to work with in ultrasonic liposuction and doctors that support it claim that it is easier to reform the body by using this technique as well. In addition, the tube that is used to suction out the fat can be smaller since the fat is liquefied in the ultrasonic liposuction which is also better for results. The benefits of using the local anesthetic and the capillary constrictor are also the same, so ultrasonic liposuction is relatively safe. If the entire body is to be liposuctioned, then there may need to be a sedative given through IV to the patient.

If you are interested in getting cosmetic surgery, no doubt one of the first questions that you have will be what is the cost of simple cosmetic surgery? Many people just assume that they are not able to afford the cost of simple cosmetic surgery when really there are so many different great options today that almost anyone can afford to go through with the cosmetic procedure of their choice.

There are various financing options available for one, where you can basically get a loan to cover the cost of your cosmetic surgery, and then you just make monthly payments to pay the loan back.

This is a great option for those people who want to get a cosmetic procedure done but are not able to afford the entire amount upfront. With financing, you will not have to pay the cost of simple cosmetic surgery upfront and can end up paying as little as a few hundred dollars each month to pay it back.

Whether you are going for low cost cosmetic surgery or another type, there are a few additional things that you are going to want to be aware of here.

You may also want to check and see if you can cover the cost of simple cosmetic surgery on your credit card. This is not always the best idea, because in order to avoid interest charges and not many credit cards offer that high line of credit. It really all depends and you may want to talk to a financial adviser before you do it this way.

Now there is always also the option of just paying partially with credit. To pay for plastic surgery, you can combine these two ideas, and pay half with credit and the other half with money that you have saved.

Of course the best way to pay for the cost of simple cosmetic surgery would be to just do it upfront, so it is done and over with, you are not paying any unnecessary interest and other fees, but of course this is not a possibility for everyone. If you do have to go about it another way, just make sure that you take it seriously and keep your budget in check.

The worst thing that you could do would be to go through with financing and then end up not making the payments on time. This would not only mess up your loan but seriously affect your credit and this is something that you obviously want to avoid.

There are times in life when plastic surgery is an elective type of thing, and anyone who gets it will have their own personal reasons for doing so. However, there are other times when it becomes a matter of helping someone reclaim their life so that they can feel like they are whole again. When a woman has breast cancer, there are times when she might have to give up one or both of her breasts. Other times accident can cause problems and scarring that leave her feeling like less of a woman. That means that breast reconstruction surgery can mean feeling like a whole woman again.

You can think of breast reconstruction surgery like any other type of plastic surgery in that it restores the breast to the original condition, or as close as possible. One problem might be that a woman who has had this procedure will no longer be able to breastfeed when or if she has children, but other than that, the breasts can look whole and new again. There are some things that simply cannot be fixed, but you might be surprised to see what a good surgeon can do.

If you think you need breast reconstruction surgery, talk with your doctor for recommendations. If you want to search on your own, which you can always do, ask a few questions before you begin with anyone. Ask to see examples of what they have done in the past, and ask any and all questions that come to your mind. When it comes to your body, you should be sure that you feel comfortable with the person you choose for breast reconstruction surgery or you will be at ease when you go in for your procedure.

If you have no idea where to begin or what to think about breast reconstruction surgery, you can always have a look around online to see what you can find. You can find doctors and surgeons in your area, and you may find examples on their sites that you can look through before you even get into their office for a consultation. This gives you the chance to think through what you want in a doctor and all that they can do for you before you have to venture out to see anyone. These are always personal decisions, and at times, total privacy is a great way to get started.

Cosmetic surgery is a booming business. To many, it represents fame, fortune, and glamor. Stars spend millions of dollars every year to look young and beautiful. Yet there is a darker side to cosmetic surgery. According to cosmetic surgery statistics, a growing number of the cosmetic surgeons practicing today are unqualified for the procedures that they perform. Routine cosmetic plastic surgery procedures are sometimes messed up, with horrifying results. Just imagine your friend going in for a breast reduction or a tummy tuck, and never coming out alive. This has been the awful reality for many victims of unethical cosmetic surgeons. Check out the cosmetic surgery stats if you don’t believe me. What you find will shock you!

The most important thing that I learned from looking at cosmetic surgery statistics is to make sure you know who is performing the surgery on you. I cannot stress this enough. Many people, in their quest for affordable cosmetic surgery, go to the cheapest cosmetic surgery clinics that they can find. When they do that, they are risking their lives. You would not fly on a discount airline flight if the plane was missing a couple of engines, would you? So why would you go to a cosmetic surgeon who was missing a couple of credentials. The most horrifying fact that the cosmetic surgery statistics will tell you is how many people pretend to have the required credentials while not actually possessing them. It really is staggering! They get by on their charm alone, conning innocent people out of their hard-earned money for procedures that they are not qualified to perform. The patients become victims, cosmetic surgery statistics themselves.

It is important to research any major decision that you are making, but cosmetic surgery statistics are unusually important. If you make a bad decision buying a home, you may have problems with leaks, problems with schools, or troubles with noisy neighbors. If you have a botched cosmetic surgery, however, you may end up disfigured for life or even dead! Cosmetic surgery statistics show that this seemingly harmless and safe practice is not as harmless as you may think. Literally tens of thousands of cosmetic surgeries have been botched. Most of these accidents were needless, and many of the patients have never recovered from their surgeries. Cosmetic surgery statistics are not hard to come by. Make sure that you read them before you go in for surgery. You will be glad that you did!

Its funny isn’t it that no matter how old you get you still feel young at heart and your general persona can be youthful and full of life.

But, then reality dawns and as we get older whilst our minds may be crisp as ever our bodies unfortunately tend to show the progress of time, much to our discontentment.

As well as a host of creams to keep us looking our best Cosmetic Surgery is becoming more popular every day and surgical treatment are becoming more refined and on the whole much safer. So how can plastic surgery help me?

Have you ever wondered if there was a way for your cheeks to look less puffy? Have you ever wished you had more prominent cheekbones? You are not alone in having these thoughts and desires.

Many people opt to get facial cosmetic surgery in order to improve the appearance of their cheeks. There are two facial cosmetic surgery procedures that are aimed at changing the way your cheeks look and they are called buccal fat extraction and cheek augmentation.

If you have a fat face and want more defined features, a facial cosmetic surgery procedure called cheek augmentation might be good for you. Implants are inserted into your cheeks to make them more prominent. The implants can be of biological material, synthetic material, or tissue taken from another part of your body.

Doesn’t sound to inviting but the look can make you appear years younger and give you added confidence.
